E.g. DBM 5.1.x is for WoW 5.1, so you can quickly see if your DBM supports the latest instances or if you need an update. The last part of the version number (minor version) is for DBM updates during a patch, so DBM 5.2.1 will be the first update (second version as 5.2.0 will be the first) for WoW 5.2. These versions are tagged as alpha, so they will not be downloaded by default. Set your Curse client to update to alpha if you want these latest versions (but they may contain bugs, downloads tagged as "Beta" or "Release" are more stable)

Disable alpha versions in your Curse client if you do not want multiple updates per day. Make sure you check main download preference as well as DBM's individual download preference. You could have primary method set to release and dbm still set to alpha. Right click on DBM itself in curse client addon list and set it to release/beta to avoid the daily updates.

Features

Boss mods for all raid bosses

Colored raid warnings (players will be colored according to their class) with icons - so you will know what's going on without even reading the message

Auto-respond during boss fights. These messages contain the name and health of the boss as well as the raid's status

HealthFrame: you can enable a simple frame that shows a health bar for all active bosses. This is enabled by default for multi-mob bosses like Four Horsemen

Bars can be enlarged with decent effects when they are about to expire

Crash recovery: you had a disconnect or crash during a boss fight? No problem for DBM! It will request the timer and combat status information from other DBM users in your raid group and you get your timers back

Synchronization system for accurate timers

No dependencies, no embedded libraries (except for the optional LibDataBroker plugin that embeds LibDataBroker)

Modular design - all boss mods are plugins and can be exchanged, removed or updated separately

Load on demand - all boss mods are separate AddOns and they will be loaded when they are needed. So they don't use memory or cpu until you enter the corresponding instance

Special effects like the screen flash effect, huge warning messages and sounds will draw your attention to critical events

Bars can change their color over time and flash before they expire

There are many bar designs to choose from, all designs are are customizable: you can change the color, size, icon position etc.

Support for SharedMedia, so you can use any texture for your bars

Option to create custom timers, so-called "Pizza Timers" for your pizza or whatever you prefer to eat while raiding. Always check back for changes/fixes. Beta uploads are what I currently use for my raid team(South of Heaven) that I thoroughly test before making it a Release. They're mostly stable with my most recent fixes. I recommend trying the most recent Beta if Release isn't doing what you expect it to.

Overview

Raid Mover was specifically designed for 25M raid teams and Priest healing in mind. Most encounters have become increasingly mechanic driven requiring strategies that assign groups of players being sent in different locations(see Ji-Kun). These groups can change on a fight to fight basis and having to remember then rotate players around by hand prior to each becomes tedious and time consuming. Raid Mover solves this issue with a nice, clean, and easy to use UI.

Raid Mover provides you the ability to:

Save current raid groups

Edit, Move, and Add Players

Mass copy players to other profiles

Restore any previously saved/modified raid layout with a single click.

Additionally it contains raid management utilities:

Import/Export groups to text

Mass Raid Invites

Automatic Raid Convert

Automatic Master Looter with threshold

Automatic Raid Assist promotions

Automatic Attendance tracking with XML and LUA exports

Usage

At the start you won't have any previously saved profiles, therefore you can either create a new Blank Raid and start adding players or import one of mine. Copy http://pastebin.com/710iZpNs and paste it into the Import window, press enter after pasting it.

Alternatively, if you're in a raid group press "Show Raid" and save/edit that.

To swap entire groups, mouse over top the group number and select it. Then either choose another group to swap or click the same group to deselect.

Videos

Me using it in our 25M raid; adding a new raider, quick copy that raider to other profiles, easy send mass invites, and restoring group positions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kruc0lVoNZs If you notice in the 3rd clip(Ji-Kun) I couldn't actually see Blizzard's raid frames due to "addon tainting", thankfully Raidmover does the work for me!

In The Works...

Automatic raid group set up according to class and specialization, great for LFR healing...or lazy Priests :P.

Sun, 19 May 2013 01:28:37 +0000 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/raid-mover/ http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/raid-mover/ no-reply@curseforge.com () The Incredibles Cross Realm Guild Chat http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/incredibles-cross-realm-guild-ch/
The Incredibles guild, in order to combat low population servers, has created an addon which will allow the sharing of Guild Chat cross-realm. When you push the assist key, it causes you to attack the same thing as that unit. It changes your target (what you are attacking) to be the same as their target.

LiteAssist provides extra key bindings to learn who to assist and to assist them. You can (and must to use this addon) set them up via the WoW Keyboard Options menu.

LiteAssist really is light. There are no /commands and no fancy GUIs, just the 3 key bindings.

Configuring LiteAssist

After entering the World of Warcraft game, go to the Keyboard Settings menu, scroll down to the LiteAssist section and set the key bindings. Then just use the keys to activate the learn and assist functions. See below for more details.

Key Bindings

The three key bindings are:

Learn unit to assist from your current target.

Learn unit to assist from whatever your mouse is hovering over.

Assist the previously learned unit (i.e., target its target).

You can find these under the 'LiteAssist' heading in the Keyboard Options menu.

I use shift-F (learn target), ctrl-F (learn mouseover) and F (assist) for the three functions.

Notification Messages

When learning a new assist a message will pop up in the middle of the screen to inform you.

Clearing Assist

Learn assist with no unit targeted/mouseovered to clear the assist. The assist also starts out cleared before you first learn something.

When the assist is cleared, the assist key will assist your current target, exactly like WoW's default assist function. This makes it safe to override your regular assist key ('F').

Target Frame Indicator

When you are targeting the same unit as your assist, a small icon of a pair of crossed swords will be shown at the left of your target frame. This only works with the default Blizzard interface, not other unit frame addons.

Advanced Macro Support

When you assist the learned target, LiteAssist is internally running a hidden macro with '/assist PlayerName' in it.

If you create a macro of your own named LiteAssistMacro AND include in it the text {LiteAssistUnit} (just like that, including the curly brackets), LiteAssist will copy that macro, replace the text {LiteAssistUnit} with the name of the player you learned, and use that instead.

You can include {LiteAssistUnit} more than once and it will replace all the occurrences.

Note that LiteAssist will not change your original macro, and dragging it onto a bar will not do anything. Copying a macro just saves me writing a user interface to allow you to edit the hidden internal macro text.

Non-Keyboard Use

If you want to set up buttons on your action bar to trigger LiteAssist, you need to do so by creating macros like these and then dragging them onto your action bar.

To learn assist from target: /click LiteAssistLearnTarget

To learn assist from mouseover: /click LiteAssistLearnHover

To assist the learned unit: /click LiteAssistDo

Limitations

Due to intentional limitations by Blizzard you can't change assist in combat. If you try to learn a new assist while in combat LiteAssist will remember what you tried to do and apply it when combat ends.

You can (obviously) still assist the learned unit while in combat.

If This AddOn Seems Abandoned

If more than two weeks go by after a major patch and this addon isn't updated, I've probably been hit by a bus. In that case I encourage anyone with the necessary ability to take over maintenance of the addon. It is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, which means anyone can take it and do whatever they want with it, as long as they too release their code under the same terms.
Sun, 19 May 2013 00:23:00 +0000 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/lite-assist/ http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/lite-assist/ no-reply@curseforge.com () MiniLoot http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/miniloot/
Very simple addon that reduces loot spam by replacing how messages are shown with a more minimalistic fashion.
Features

Filters - You can hide reputation, loot, honor, experience, money and currency+archaeology messages. You can hide all junk loot, or you can specify a minimum item quality that you or your party has to loot in order to show it, meaning you can hide all items that are common or lower, that your party loots, but show all items that you loot, and vice versa.

Roll - You can hide roll decisions, or specifically hide roll decisions only in LFR. You can also do this with the roll summary and even force the items that are rolled for to be shown as icons or plain text.

Timer - You can modify and specify the delays, how long the addon waits for looting to end, after combat ends, e.g. There is more information on this in-game.

Extra - One button click creates a loot frame (old school, you can keep it around in case you really need to check the normal log). Mouseover links show the tooltip without having to click. Show amount of items in your bags in addition to the looted item (ideal for farming). Color names by class.

So what really is this about?

You can specify where the messages are shown, what messages are ignored and completely hidden, you can show/hide roll decisions and summary, you can hide all gray items from showing at all, and you can tweak the throttle settings. In addition all quest starting items will have a distinct red border in the chat, so it's easy to see those quest items when leveling, especially if auto-loot is on and you don't pay attention!

Is there a catch?

Yes, unfortunately chances are that other languages are not working since I only play on the English client. There has been problems with Russian locale and I had to in addition to using global variables to handle extracting data from the loot messages, I had to swap positions of item names and player names.

The key point here is that if there are errors I do advice you do post these errors and your client language so I can try to work things out with your help.

I've personally tested the addon on enUS, enGB, ruRU, deDE locales. There is no way for addons to reliably monitor buffs cast on units who are not in your group, so ShieldsUp doesn’t try.

Q: Why am I only seeing one charge counter?

A: ShieldsUp switches to a single-counter display when you are solo, or if you don’t have the Earth Shield talent, since in either situation it’s only possible for you to have one shield active on a target ShieldsUp can monitor.

Bug Reports

If you encounter a problem with ShieldsUp, submit a bug report. Yes. It's basically just like that.

Grease Goblin uses a similar markup as Greasemonkey at the beginning of every script to define when it gets run. This markup is very simple, but cASe-sensitive.

The following example demonstrates the whole currently available markup:

-- OnLoad: true -- OnEvent: ADDON_LOADED -- OnEvent: SOME_OTHER_EVENT print("Hello World!", ...);

By the way: There is a chat-command
/ggb
or
/ggoblin
to open a config window only with the Grease Goblin dialog.

Technical stuff

Markup syntax

For the perfectionists around here; the basic syntax is:

'--' space? {key} space? ':' space? {value} space?

The first non-conforming line stops markup parsing completely. This means that there should not be an empty line at the beginning of the file if you want some markup parsed. You can however invent your own fields, like
Author
or
Title
for example. They are not used, but do not break parsing.

Script arguments

Each script (Goblin) gets passed a
self
variable plus all arguments from the originating event (For the
[Execute]
button this is
"EXECUTE"
and
OnLoad
gets passed
"LOAD"
) in the special Ellipsis (
...
) parameter.

self
is a table that stays defined and is not changed as long as the Game runs and the Code is not changed. This means you can store some data in there. You can not (yet) store it across sessions (there is no place reserved in a saved variable yet).

The
self
table contains a few default fields:

Code
- This is the source code of the script. Changing it does not reflect on the actual script, so consider it read-only (this may change in the future)

Frame
- This is the frame used for catching the events. Each Goblin gets its own frame, so you can mess it up however you like...

Function
- This is the actual function that is generated from the source code. You can replace this, if you have something special planned...

Sat, 18 May 2013 02:10:00 +0000 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/grease-goblin/ http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/grease-goblin/ no-reply@curseforge.com ()
