ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.
This replacement (works for all tradeskills, now even enchanting!) provides you with:
- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!
- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.
Please note that ATSW has grown to be quite a complex addon and it might still contain some bugs. Please tell me if you encounter one so I can fix them.
ATSW is localized in german, english and french language.

VonSchmiddy Mar 16, 2012 at 23:48 UTC - 0 likesmy ATSW is showing 31 linen cloth in my first aid that don't exist on any alts or guild banks. Is there a way to fix this or is it a bug?

durwin Feb 05, 2012 at 15:40 UTC - 0 likesI have no problems with this addon for alchemy, but when I use it with inscription, the game is unresponsive until crafting is *complete*. It *does* complete the task, but the results are not displayed till after it is fully finished. This occurs with this addon as the only one loaded, and on several different machines. Also of note, just scrolling through the list takes time to respond.

menace97 Nov 08, 2011 at 07:00 UTC - 0 likesi am having the same issues as many users. it's disappointing, as ATSW has been such an absolute gem, i can't even think of using the default blizzard ui. i have played with all the settings and found minor improvements, but disabling such features basically makes it useless (i know, i know... not entirely).
i'm just not sure how much more i can take with the freezes and slowdowns, but i will, since it is SO fantastic - just flawed and probably out-of-date (in terms of wow's latest changes to take advantage of). no offense Slartibartfast.
i can only pray that you, Slartibartfast, you wonderful author, will create a new ATSW from the ground up one day soon.
thank you so much!

hozz1235 Mar 19, 2011 at 18:33 UTC - 0 likesHi. Love this addon! However, it seems to be locking up WoW quite a bit. I'm sure there is a ticket open for that. In the meantime, I was wondering if there was a way to get the recipes into the local cache (kind of like the prompt we get whenever a new version of wow comes out and we can let it cache or "skip") I usually skip and maybe that is part of the lockup problem? Thanks.

Thurmal Dec 17, 2010 at 01:37 UTC - 0 likesHi, first of all thx for creating and maintaining this great addon Slartibartfast!
To all the wise posters around here:
Yes the ChatFrame link bug is annoying but please stop posting wrong fixes! The "ChatFrame1EditBox"-fix is a half-thought "bug fix" that will still fail linking to the chat in like 50% of all cases! I posted the correct fix in ticket 74.
To go on a little longer: please stop creating multiple tickets for the same bug! It may happen unintentionally because one didn't see it but it can't be that there are 7(!!!) tickets for the same bug. This is contra productive. This will not help getting the bug fixed faster. Instead you should vote for the first ticket so it will be raised in the priority of the developer. Creating multiple tickets will only result in more time for ticket managing which Slartibartfast could better spend in fixing the bug.

nickyjean01 Dec 13, 2010 at 19:08 UTC - 0 likesThank you for making the addon workable. I have missed it. I did wonder if the multiple skill ups was viewable. I can't see any at the moment, or mention in the description. I wasn't sure if it was a planned feature or something that was overlooked with the new way skills are working.
Edited for issue my husband noticed: When using blacksmithing he see the amount of how many he could make with his current materials in his bag. After he completed making the items it would revert back to the original number even though he no longer had the materials. He would watch the quantity go from say 10 down to 1 then instead of no number showing it would go back to ten after the making process was complete.
