44 - ATSW lags extremely bad with any profession that has a lot of recipes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Opening ATSW where character has a lot of learned recipes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to open and browse the tradeskill window without problems. Instead, when I open my Inscriptions (Lv450, has nearly every glyph learned) or sometimes my Leatherworking (same situation as Inscriptions with a lot of recipes) my client lags terribly, FPS dropping down to 1 or 0. Has caused crashes in the past.

What version of the product are you using?
Latest: v0.708

Do you have an error log of what happened?
No, there are no error logs, just extreme lag.

Hi,

I'm in love with ATSW, a great addon, although has this "little" flaw that indeed makes it unusable sometimes. I didn't notice the difference per number of recipes as Darthyl says: on the same char a tailoring with 428 recipes scrolls like nothing while the inscription with 165 is badly stuck. But where the thing happens mostly is when crafting the items; fps always goes to 0 and every now and then you can see that you made 3 to 6 pieces, all in one hit. I have to add that things worsened lately.

If it can be of help, I have also MiniPerfsFu, giving some performances; one of them is Memory Rate (at which the Memory Use increases); normally it's in the area of 0 to few KiB/s, while with ATSW, especially when crafting, goes up to 1M and beyond, and there it freezes.

PS Been living with this for some years now, but I don't want to renounce to it; so I use a workaround like: use it when I need to see the components in case of complex items (i.e engineering) then /atsw disable and use the regular client. It's a shame but there's no other way.

On my character, I find that the freezing happens only with Inscription (for which I have 419 recipes).  Every time I try to scroll the list of inscription recipes, the entire game freezes for 2-3 seconds, making the addon virtually unusable.  Jewelcrafting seems to operate lag-free, however (for which I have 219 recipes).

Oddly enough, after deleting my saved variables file for the addon, everything is back to normal and inscription operates lag-free.  You may want to obtain a saved variables file from someone who has been experiencing this problem but hasn't yet deleted their saved variables file.

(also, the freezing started around the time cataclysm was released, when a lot of changes to the glyph system were made.  My first guess is that you've cached something from the old system that's causing problems in the new one, or aren't getting rid of old, no-longer-available recepies.)

I am experiencing extreme lags primarily when opening the tradeskill window for enchanting. I use the German client.
