Aha

Aha looks for buffs/debuffs/spells being cast... from yourself, other players or mobs in the combat log. It gives a raid warning when they occur. You get to choose which spells, buffs, auras, ... you want the addon to warn you about.

Basicly, it gives you raid warning when:

  • you lose a certain buff (SELF)
  • another player loses a buff (ALL)
  • someone casts a certain spell (CAST)
  • a certain debuff is put on you (DEBUFF)

The best way is to explain how it works is with the following examples:

SELF

You have a buff "Mark of the Wild" but you keep forgetting to re-apply it when it fades, when you lose the buff. You can tell AHA to watch for that buff by typing: /aha add self mark of the wild You want to know if a soulstone fades from anyone at all: /aha add all soulstone

CAST

Another good use is the "CAST" list. It warns you for certain spells being cast. Imagine as a pally being in an arena. You want to know if your healer is getting mana burned, hexed or cycloned: /aha add cast Mana Burn /aha add cast Hex /aha add cast cyclone

The best one in arenas: You want to know if your enemy team starts to rez a dead teammate: /aha add cast revive /aha add cast resurrection /aha add cast redemption

REZZES

It will also pop a warning if a rez was actually succesfull. Imagine in an arena, you arrive just in time or not to interrupt an enemy player rezzing, but aren't sure if you interrupted that rez. Say you didn't, and he get's the rez. But he does not accept the rez yet to confuse you. You continue playing, and after like 30 seconds when you think you have actually interrupted it, the guy pops back up, is healed full, and you get pwned.

Aha will let you know for sure if the rez was succesful so you know you're about to get jumped.

DEBUFF

Another useful application is in raids, where you want to know if a certain debuff is on you. The difference with buffs is, in this case you want to know when that debuff is APPLIED to you, not when it fades. For this you use the DEBUFF list. I don't know any debuffs from the top of my head, but the command goes like this: /aha add debuff NAME where name is the name of the debuff you want to look for ofc.
