Armory

111 - Search and Guild Bank contents

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to search through Inventory (as in the search drop-down selection) for item that is in a guild bank that Armory knows the contents of

If you repeat the steps above after logging in again, do you get the same problem or was it a one-time event?
Always same result, tried with various combinations of "Include ..." settings for both Guild Bank and Find and clearing out of Armory's stored inventories.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output (at least from the perspective of me, not sure about from Armory's perspective) is to have guild bank contents included in the search.  Instead, searching Inventory returns no hits in from a guild bank.  Searching through Item or All returns hits, however.

What version and language of WoW and what version of Armory are you using?
4.0.6 enUS, and Armory v9.6.0

Do you have an error log of what happened?
N/A

Please provide any additional information below.
Given the lack of errors thrown, I'm assuming this isn't an issue with the functionality hence filing it as an enhancement.  If it is an error, hopefully it can be fixed.  If not, I would dearly love to get an option to include the contents of a guild's bank in the Inventory domain.  I could "include" it as is by setting the default domain to Item instead of Inventory, but then searching for stuff like gems (which is what I most frequently do) would return a lot of clutter from professions that wasn't of much help.  My only concern over such a toggle is the discrepancy between guild-guild banks and personal storage-guild banks, not really sure how that could be handled.  Optimally some sort of per-guild toggle, but that might be more trouble/complication than it's worth, dunno'.  I personally don't access the guild bank for the raiding guild I'm in very often, and I clear it out of Armory when I do but that's personal taste and effort.

The next release will contain an option to make finding items more restrictive.

I understand what you mean. Did you understand me?

Augh stupid Firefox hiccuping, I meant to click scroll wheel to scroll down and Firefox lag-jumped on me and I hit the abandon ticket link. Nothing's working right for me lately.

Anyhow, what I'm hoping for some way of accomplishing is just searching all possessed items. Maybe if I'd been thinking clearer I'd've asked for a way to block profession skills and the likes from the Item search. If I'm searching to see how many Jasper I have (say for JC daily), I don't *care* how many different ways I can cut those Jasper I just want to know how many of that gem I have between my alts and my mule's storage gbank. It just seems odd there (doesn't seem to be/) isn't a way to search just physical items.

This is as designed indeed. Inventory has been added at a later time. Before search by item was the default. There are alternatives: use /ar gb and search there directly or use Armory's inventory tab (if guild bank integration is turned on).
