In Combat

Introduction

This is just an alpha version to see if people has any interest in it. I did it to fit to my personal needs so there is (almost) no config out of the lua files for now.

An ascii-based unit frame making extensive use of DogTags.

Current Version (0.1.1)

Available indicators:
  • Player / Target Health and Mana
  • PvP
  • Combat
  • Resting
  • Comparative Bar: Compare how close to winning (or losing) a fight you are.
Slash Commands:

/ah toggle-comp-bar
- Toggles the comparative bar that appears in the mid of the screen.

Both /ah and /asciihud are registered.

Under Development (a.k.a Wishlist)

0.1.2 (next version) will show up in time for Cata (hopefully !!!). Code mechanics have changed A LOT and i am still hunting major bugs.

Planned Features:
  • Multiple Layouts Operations
    • Enable / Disable
    • Reload
  • Frame Customization
    • Font Face / Size
Upcoming Version (Features already on latest alpha):

Support to LibSharedMedia fonts

Added a fixed-width font for better display

Support to Multiple Layouts. This allow creating other addons to set their own indicators schemes.

New commands available:

/ah scale <scale-value>
/asciihud scale <scale-value>
- Change the scale of all frames created by this addon

/ah scale <frame> <scale-value>
- Change the scale of the specified frame

/ah move <frame> <x> <y>
- Change the scale of the specified frame

/ah show all
/ah hide all
- Makes all known frames visible (or hide them)

/ah show frame <frame>
/ah hide frame <frame>
- Make frame <frame> visible (or hide it)

/ah recycle
- More useful while developing a layout. It trashes the current saved variables to refresh any changes at the layout.

Plans

I've reworked a few internals to change how frames are created. This means that in the future (probably after the next version) we will be able to create, from console, frames to show any DogTag string. If you can get it done with dog tag you will be able to see on your screen.

No .... I am not against UIs .... I just have a lot to learn before i start building one ....
