AssistMe is a very small, fast, lightweight AddOn to auto promote specific persons to assistant when you are the Raid Leader of your raid. AssistMe now also promotes persons on Calendar events aswell. A new feature in 2.3 allows other raid Assistants to request a ReadyCheck - bringing back the functionality that blizzard took away recently. 2.3 also implemented a Spam Catcher which should stop the majority of those nasty event spams; one or two might get through, but its fairly efficient. Couple more New commands added with new features - Ready Check, Disband Raid, Demote All Assistants. Read below for more info!
2.4 Added InviteWhisper command, adding auto invites upon whisper certain message. Also added ability for assistants to change the raid difficulty!.
Adding new names or removing couldn't be easier :)

Reason for creation
Myself and friends play lot of WoW and we're also officers in our guild (Lingering) and we find it a pain to manually promote others every time we create a raid. Although there is a few larger addons that come with this feature I couldn't really find a nice small and simple version that was easy to use so I decided to create one.
Reporting
I completely re-wrote the addon for version 2.n So there may be a few new errors to iron out but generally its a lot easier to read through (for me). I use to use notepad xD but now im using the Visual Studio addon which makes it much easier. Everything is now sorted in to functions and should generally work the same - if not more efficently. If you catch a error leave a comment behind!
Suggestions
Please also be free to leave behind suggestions and ideas that you think should be incorporated into/remove from this addon and I shall consider any that seem appropriate.
Thanks for taking an interest in this addon and I hope you find this addon useful d(^_^)b

mrubal3 Thu, 28 Jan 2010 06:27:09Awesome addon, makes promoting assistants unbelievably easy. Would love to see option to assign a specific lootmaster. Thank you for your work.
