Auction Snatch keeps a saved list of items you want to buy from the Auction House, and automatically scans the Auction House for every item on your list. It's very fast and will happen before you have time to type anything. If an auction is found, a prompt will appear to ask you what you want to do. The selections in the Prompt are self-explanatory.
Many mods keep track of items you want to remember or search for - but I found it tedious to keep selecting items in the list. Auction Snatch automates that process. I no longer worry about missing the rare Hyacinth Macaw in the auction house!
Directions: A new tab will appear on the Auction House Frame. Clicking that will bring up the interface. Type in your search queries, hit enter, and then when your list is complete, click 'Start Search'.

- Checking the 'Auto Search' button will automatically start searching when you open the auction house. Or you can hold Shift as you open the Auction House.
- 'Esc' will always close any open frames.
- Items can be added to an 'ignore list'. Next search, you will not be bothered by that item. You may also ignore items above a certain price with the 'too expensive' button.
- Add items to your list by shift-clicking chat links.
- Double-click an item while at the Auction House to search for just that item.
- Items in the list may be repositioned by dragging them.
- A single click in the list will bring up a small option box for that item.
- A small manual override field appears at the prompt dialogue, to manually override the 'too expensive' conditions. Very handy if you get lots of results from a search and don't want to click 'too expensive' for each one. (Eg. Searching for all Decks under 200g). IF you don't like how the field only accepts gold values, you may change this with the command '/as copperoverride'. And vice versa, if you don't like entering copper values due to all those zeros.

wkrick Dec 07, 2011 at 13:44 UTC - 0 likesThe reason this addon broke with patch 4.3 is because the API for GetAuctionItemInfo changed.
It now returns 14 values instead of 13, and the item that Blizzard added, "levelColHeader", is in the middle of the list. Here's documentation for the API...

I managed to get AuctionSnatch working again by adding the missing parameter in the results list wherever GetAuctionItemInfo is called in auctionsnatch.lua
I don't know if my fix is 100% but it seems to be fully operational now.
Here's a link to my patched version...

Oriban Dec 02, 2011 at 15:41 UTC - 0 likesThis addon is discontinued, but the author is still 'alive' if you look at curse.com. However he is not playing wow anymore and cannot do an update. I guess if somebody is willing to take over, he will consider that.
After patch 4.3 this lovely does not work anymore. This addon is by far the most missed discontinued addon ever.
Could somebody please make a fan update or take over???

nickyjean01 Oct 18, 2010 at 04:25 UTC - 0 likesI was wondering if you would consider doing a List option. I tried doing it by Profile but it didn't seem to work the way I wanted it too.
How I'm thinking of this is: I would have a world drop recipe list, specific enchant lists and tailoring lists. So if I'm in a rush and only want to focus on say making 3 mongoose enchants, I can access that version of my Auction Snatch list quickly go through the materials and move on with my day.
I presently use Auctionator which gave me the Idea from their Buy tab but I prefer the way this addon scans and then gives you the option to scan and move on.
Let me know if this is something you think is feasible but I love your addon anyway and constantly use it. Thank you again for all the pets you helped me get at below market value. Not to mention the odd world drop enchant.
