Latest Battleground General Files http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/ The latest files available for Battleground General en-us Sun, 19 Apr 2009 06:34:30 +0000 CurseForge.com (http://www.curseforge.com) Version 2.2 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/17-version-2-2/
2.2
Hopla! Battleground General is now functional on German clients. Also most of the look-and-feel is also in German. Many thanks to Nerozud for his help. There may be an issue with emotes performed when a player captures the flag on the German client. Feedback is welcome!

In Warsong Gulch, the enemy flag is visible on the world map 45 seconds after it is taken. At this point, enemy flag tracking will change to following the enemy flag icon. This should allow superior tracking of the enemy flag.

Battleground General is now compatible with Addon Loader by Ammo. If Addon Loader is present, BGG will not load unless you enter a battleground.

It also interfaces with Grid. To configure with Grid, open Grid's configuration menu. The status is called 'Battleground Position'. You probably want to set the text2 indicator to this. If you have Grid, but don't want to use it for battleground positions, type:

/bgg grid off

...to save a little memory and CPU. If you don't have Grid, performance won't be affected.

Finally, in AV, BGG looks for the death of Balinda or Galvangar and reports it to the /bg channel. Only one client with BGG will report their deaths. It will use the message "Bal is down" or "Galv is down".

2.1
Battleground General can now interface with Clique by Cladhaire:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5108-Clique.html
To use it, open Clique and press 'Custom'. To make the macro always select or deselect, use:

/bgg click select on|off

You may have noticed that you can only send ten whispers at a time before WoW says it’s too many. If players in your team also have Battleground General, it will send them their message via an Addon Channel rather than as a normal whisper, which will let you whisper more people at once. For sender and receiver it should be indistinguishable from an ordinary whisper. (This took a lot of debugging, which is why this version took so long- please let me know if there are any more problems).

BGG should now behave better going straight from AB to AV for example. In AB, BGG will track the numbers of enemies seen recently in each area. This can help knowing how many to send to each area, or whether an area is a hopeless case. It works by checking friendly players’ targets for enemy players. This is not completely reliable as players may occasionally have a player targetted that is a long way away in another area, but this should be a fairly rare occurrence. Enemy sightings are also transmitted over inter-addon messages for greater reliability.

To see exactly which enemies have been sighted recently, use the Toggle Enemy List key binding. This panel automatically closes if you enter combat (a rogue jumps you or something).

This release was delayed until version 2.4 and the new chat-log system, to track which enemies are dead. Unfortunately the chat-log system is bugged and is not reporting player deaths (enemy or friendly), so some players will be reported as being in an area when they’re actually dead. According to Slouken this "is fixed for 2.4.2". BGG won’t need an update then.
Wed, 02 Apr 2008 02:10:06 +0000 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/6-version-1-2/ http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/6-version-1-2/ no-reply@curseforge.com (tsadok) Version 1.11 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/5-version-1-11/
1.11 Fixed an issue where BGG was not picking up certain WSG events due to inconsistent capitalisation by Blizzard.

1.1

Battleground General now uses Addon Messages to monitor flag carrier sightings and players’ combat status. There is also another player frame in WSG that shows the name of the enemy flag carrier and where they were last seen from. The 'from' is important- the interface is not forthcoming with GetPlayerMapPosition("raid3target"), but it keeps track of the position of anyone who has the flag carrier targetted, so if they follow the flag carrier you should get an idea whether the flag carrier is leaving via the tunnel or the ramp. If no one has seen the flag carrier for a while the flag carrier’s position fades. Clicking on the flag carrier’s frame will target the flag carrier, though if you are in combat when they grab the flag you will have to wait until you are out of combat before this will work. This is due to the way the interface works.

Added support for the anteroom or outer room and 1st/2nd floor areas. If you are Australian or British and prefer "1st floor" instead of "2nd floor" to refer to the floor above the flag room but below the roof, open up the BGGConfig.lua file and change the first line to:

ABGUseAmericanNames = false

Some minor tweaks of areas. Going deep into the horde startup niche will no longer classify you as on the ramp, for example.
Sat, 17 Nov 2007 05:30:06 +0000 http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/2-version-1-0/ http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/battleground-general/files/2-version-1-0/ no-reply@curseforge.com (tsadok)
