29 - Sorting/Filtering/Naming spells for easyer editing
When I have alot of spells binded with Clique is a bit hard to find them quicker, therefore I felt that an enhancement in this regard would help users work more comfortably with Clique.
I have a few ideas that would improve searching for spells/keybinds.
1. Filtering based on imput text:
- a filter for the text that I find in macros: an example would be that I type in a box on top of the screen "Holy Shock", and the list of keybinds would filter down to all the macros that contain the text "Holy Shock". Other example would be "@target" so this would filter my list down to all macros that contain the text "@target".
- another filter would be the actual keybind as text: Examples: "2", "Alt+2", "LeftButton". Might work aswell to make it more configurable, and a text like
"LeftClick+Alt" would also find the keybind "Alt+LeftClick", in other words, having + as a delimiter for "words", and it should find all the binds containing both "LeftClick" and "Alt" text.
2. Sorting the list as it is at the moment pretty much covers everything I could think of, one enhancement that might work is sortig the list based on the name of the spell that appears first in the macro.
3. Naming the macros, would also provide a new method for sorting, and for searching.
I would also like this naming of the macros, to make it easyer to find which of the macros with same keybind is the one I want to edit: For example, if I have keybind "2" in 2 separate macros, one with @mouseover and one with @target, I could name my macros "Holy Shock @ target" and "Holy Shock @ mouseover", so it wil be much more easy to find the spell that I search for.
One other approach that might work is to use icons for those spells, selecting automatically the icon of the first spell that appears in the macro, and being able to see the content of the macro in tooltip while hovering over that icon.
If I would have to chose what I think is the most useful out of those is the filtering option based on text with/without naming the macros.

But indeed this makes sense only if the list is filtered instead of jumping to the first result of the search.

FIltering by name is easy, but I'm not sure why you need to filter by binding, it's trivial to find all bindings that are similar because they are automatically grouped together in the sort.
I plan to add macro naming back into Clique, since it used to exist prior to 4.0.
