1 - option: split stacks
What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
ability to split stacks, like take 5 of 8 of a stacked item out of bank & with.
Please provide any additional information below.
i'm a scribe & keep my herbs in bank, dump all unmillable (<5 stack) herbs into bank & then take out any multiples of 5 to mill
being able to work with stacked items would be great
i'm not sure what commands would be good, maybe /split?
like this would take 5 Felweed out: /dout Felweed /split /only 5
and this would take all but 3: /dout Felweed /split /remain 3
unless /partial already does this & im just wasting our time >_> EU is offline atm so.. sorry if thats the case

badhairday Jul 03, 2011 at 21:54 UTC - 0 likes/full and /partial just mean full and partial stacks. If something stacks in 20, then a stack of 5 will match /partial but not /full, and likewise a stack of 20 will match /full but not /partial. "5 /partial" means transfer 5 partial (not-full) stacks. That's not what you want.
It's difficult (annoying) to split or combine stacks via code, but the other problem is how to specify stacks vs items? Right now Dumpster uses stacks for its numbers. "5" means 5 stacks. How so I specify 5 items instead of 5 stacks? I was thinking "/dout 5 Felweed" for 5 stacks, and "/dout 5i Felweed" for taking out 5 items.
You've brought up a different request though - take out as many items as possible, in multiples of 5. Code-wide, this would be very difficult, but you can cheat a little:
/dout Felweed /din /partial Felweed
This will remove all Felweed from the bank, then put back any partial stacks. This isn't ideal, since you want stacks of 5 and Felweed stacks to 20, but it will at least make sure you don't have unmillable stacks in your inventory.
StackPack http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/stackpack.aspx will auto-combine stacks for you.
