89 - Tier and iLvl info in looting table
Sometimes it's useful, in order to properly assign drop with the wonderful new voting system, to check how many pieces every 'needer' has for the various item levels, and/or how many tier pieces he has for the various tiers.
Would be wonderful if we had in the popup or in the table this info.
For example:
Gear (232: 1, 251: 3, 264: 7, 271: 1, 277: 4)
Would be useful if it could also optionally 'show' also the tier gear in isolation, for example:
Gear (251: 3, 264: 7, 271: 1, 277: 4) - Tier (264: 3, 277: 1)
[this means he has 3x251 pieces, 7x264, 1x271 and 4x277, INCLUDING the tier gear, which he has 3x264, 1x277).
With maybe the option of filtering out ilvl below a certain amount to avoid excessive iLvl spam for iLvl i'm not interested anymore.
For example, i don't care now about 251 or lowers, so I would love to see:
Gear (<=251: 4, 264: 7, 271: 1, 277: 4) - Tier (<=251: 1, 264: 2, 277: 1)
Of course if a iLvl has no pieces, it should now be shown as 251:0 or <=251:0, but simply not appear in the lost, for example now my char is:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ravenholdt&n=Fuoco
Gear (264: 4, 271: 1, 277: 12) - Tier (264: 1, 277: 3)
It would be quite easy to implement i LUA: just loop over the equipped gear and create a map iLvl-->Count for counting the item amount for each, and a separate tier map iLvl->Count just for the tier (the tier has to be added both to the 'gear' map and to the 'tier' map).
Then show these info in the tooltip (and maybe also has columns in the table).
Would help a LOT to better understand what to do with loots ;-)

Fuoco Dec 27, 2010 at 07:16 UTC - 0 likesJust a small update:
as it is now it would be perfect something like this:
Gear (333: 3, 346: 7, 359: 1, 372: 4) - Tier (359: 3, 372: 1)
with the option to 'group' the pieces below a certain confirgurable item level, for example, if we put 346, then this becomes:
Gear (<= 346: 8, 359: 1, 372: 4) - Tier (359: 3, 372: 1)

Fuoco Dec 27, 2010 at 07:14 UTC - 0 likesIn case you are worried about EPGP 'ethics', just put in a option to disable this extra info.
Moreover the bidding system and voting system (already features in EPGP as today) are MORE against the ethics than this, this is just an improvement to have more informations to properly use those tools.
You said we have to trust our raiders: very true, but then you don't trust the OFFICERS (which should be your best and more 'trustable' raiders at all) and don't want them to see more info because you fear they will misuse them?
Quite a non-sense IMHO.

Fuoco Dec 27, 2010 at 07:12 UTC - 0 likesJiminimonka this is not true at all.
EPGP now has a VOTING SYSTEM, which is really useful for those pieces that you want to assign on a Loot Council principle, more than a pure EPGP system.
This looting system is already in epgp and perfectly working, and it was our MAIN reason why we stayed with EPGP and not switch (we need to use EPGP for 'standard' loots, while assigning th emost important ones to key raiders: tanks, healers, etc... for the sake of the guild and to maximise our progression).
In order to make this looting system work better a suggestion like mine really helps to do that.
Moreover we aren't adding any information: we ALREADY look at what the person is wearing through a standard inspect before assigning loots, to avoid mistakes like giving a piece to a DPS where it's only a stupid side-grade, while you have your tank in DIRE need of it.
Hell, you can even check the currently equipped piece in EPGP: I'm just proposing to extending this feature to better serve the voting system, which NEEDS to have all the information to get a proper decision.

Jiminimonka Dec 04, 2010 at 13:02 UTC - 0 likesIf this is what I think it is, like a scan of the persons gear to decide if they should get the loot, it goes against the whole principle of EPGP, which is Earned/Effort Points - If someone has the PR to get an item, they should be allowed to get it (in most cases). It also adds an element of GearScore to EPGP (bleh), and seems like you don't trust your raiders (which is hopefully your guild, especially since being in a guild is of even more benefit come 7th December).
