16 - Luring and looting
I recently just updated to 0.9.8b a few days ago after having used 0.9.6l.
Two things:
1) I have the fishing hat, several glow worms, and a couple stacks of fish attractors (easy lure and always lure are both on) with base fishing skill of 390. Upon using 0.9.8b for the first time at a fishing spot (Dal sewer), I noticed it started to cast the hat. Wanting the +100 of the attractor, I interrupted the hat, and manually applied the attractor. I happily continued to fish. Oddly, around the 3min left mark of the attractor, it tried to apply the hat again. I interrupted that also. Once the attractor wore off, next time I tried casting, it just cast, without any lure. Now, it won't auto-lure period. I've moved to other zones, logged out/in, switched outfits, even wiped my saved vars. It simply will no longer auto-lure. Ideally, I prefer it to use all my attractors first (which are cheap and plentiful, and +100) before going to the hat (which is only +75), as I'm still working on leveling my fishing, and want the goods, not the trash.
2) I have Auto Loot turned on in the main interface settings, so it auto loots everything (corpses, chests, ores, etc...), and have the fishing buddy auto loot turned off. With 0.9.6l, I could double right click the bobber to auto-loot and recast. During my testing of (1) above, I noticed 0.9.8b was not auto looting & casting any longer. I can still double right click to cast, but not when doing so on the bobber. No matter how many right clicks I get get in there, double, triple, quadruple... :), it still just treats it like a single click. It does auto-loot, but that's with the main interface auto-loot turned on. It seems to be ignoring the FB auto loot setting.
Maybe my settings are borked, or it's confused with the main interface auto loot, but like I said, this was after I wiped my FB saved vars, too (unless you can think of some place I missed).

Sutorix Sat, 26 Dec 2009 04:32:261) FB attempts to apply the smallest lure that will gain you 100% catch rate. 2) I think this is now fixed
there were issues in the way Blizz was handling clicks for a while.
