Framerate adjuster runs quietly, monitoring average framerate. If your framerate drops below your preferred fps (30 by default), it reduces the far clip plane until framerate is again acceptable. If framerate later improves, the clip plane is again extended to allow you to see more of the world in front of you. Framerate adjuster reduces the clip plane rapidly to quickly adjust to a sudden drop in framerate, but extends it slowly to avoid causing "loading lag" as far away landscape objects become visible. Framerate adjuster runs quietly and unobtrusively, and requires no custom setup or maintenance.
To change the preferred minimum framerate, type /fra [framerate]. Example : /fra 40
Framerate adjuster tries to keep a reasonable framerate despite changes in scenery, but can only do so much with the far clip plane graphics setting. For an OVERALL better framerate, try adjusting other graphics settings such as resolution, lighting, and texture and landscape detail.
