crzykidd Fri, 10 Jul 2009 02:08:49So in our guild I am now the official GB maintainer for sorting, etc. Thanks to this great addon. However I am not the Guild Master. So ideally I would be able to change the Slot cooldown and swaps per cycle settings, but not be able to LockGuildBank. Nor sure who hard that would be?
Also regarding @Armor-Class I know Baggins uses the perodic table lib, this might be an easy way to expose it. Basically it breaks down items in all kinds of groups.. but with that you could allow a user to make a family based on multiple classes from the perodic table lib. Just an idea.
Great addon.. keep it up

photekk Thu, 09 Jul 2009 23:20:30Hey Adjo I just installed the new 3.0.4.3 beta and I got this error right off the bat when I tried /genie work :
"Interface\AddOns\Genie\Genie.lua:2984:bad argument #1 to 'gsub' (string expected, got nil)"
Am I the only one with this?

photekk Wed, 01 Jul 2009 23:17:57Sound bug seems fixed, yay :)
Still have my strange bug were I can't move certain bank items - could this have to do with the fact that I use an inventory mod, Combuctor?

adjo Wed, 01 Jul 2009 21:52:03@class rank sets @different set for guildbank
you could create a second profile with a different classranking and then switch if you are working with the guildbank. You could also create a featurerequest asking to support different sets ;)
@Armor-Class etc.
This is definitely something i want to add. I'm really not happy with the way Genie currently sorts the type-/ subtype-class. I just haven't found a smart (enough) way to give you the possibilty to create those classes or give you a way to rank them, without making the whole classranking system to complicated.

crzykidd Wed, 01 Jul 2009 17:30:41Also is there a way to save a class rank set and reload it? Or assign a different class/family ranking to GB than your own bags?

crzykidd Wed, 01 Jul 2009 16:17:49Ok so have been playing with GB sorting. Some of our guild members like things the way they were, but I am unsure how to get them to sort that way. Would I would like to do is create my own class or family but be able to say Armor is a class, weapons are a class, Trade Goods are a class, etc. This would allow me to keep things in whatever order I wanted, but ranking the class or family.
Thanks for a great addon.

adjo Tue, 30 Jun 2009 08:01:42@full resort / no memory: that's no bug, it's a feature :)
You may want to read more about stable and unstable sorting algorithms. (in short: if you want some sort of memory, use a stable sorting algorithm like insertionsort)
@sound muting: i filed a bug.

photekk Sun, 28 Jun 2009 17:13:14Adjo, this addon is really starting to shape up - I've been following it, and anxiously awaiting this new beta release, which has fixed nearly all the issues from preventing me to switch over.
The silent mode works now, fast sorting is quick and smooth again, and it now recognizes when something is already sorted (yay - this was the most annoying bug, having everything re-sort over and over every time you looted something)
All this is fixed and the addon is awesome, loving it :) I can't remember which sorting algorithm you said was by far the fastest, Selectionsort was it? Oh, and only bug still for me that I've found is the with the bank Genie doesn't seem to have any memory or recognition of sorting - it will keep doing a full resort even if it was just sorted (although strangely this is fixed for me with my actual inventory)
Ok I lied, there is a bug I found: sometimes my sound effects volume (the other sound settings are unchanged) will be turned all the way down to muted when I have the Silent mode turned on .. it wasn't doing this earlier, strange

adjo Mon, 15 Jun 2009 00:00:10can't tell you for sure, but i think a month after .3.1 would be a good estimate
