496 - Flying mounts pulling up as ground mounts
What steps will reproduce the problem?

73 Night Elf Hunter and 84 Human Warlock
What language is your game client? (enUS / frFR / etc)

What version of the GoGoMount are you using?
4.1.4
If the problem is with Engineering or Tailoring mounts, which and what level is your skill?
Both (engineering on hunter, tailoring on warlock), both ~420 or so
Please provide any additional information below.
Both the Flying Machine and the Frosty Flying Carpet keep pulling up as ground-only mounts when they shouldn't (either when I use the "ground mount only" hotkey or on maps where flying mounts aren't allowed). GoGoMount also prefers them over real ground-only mounts for some reason (I'll hit my ground only hotkey at least 5 times, and 4 of the 5, it will try to bring up the machine/carpet). Both look pretty silly as ground mounts, so if these could be un-flagged as such, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I personally like using my flying rockets in battle grounds and don't want to take the rocket's availability away.

Chilcoot Feb 16, 2012 at 05:49 UTC - 0 likesIf this was my addon, I'd want this bug fixed. It goes to the heart of GoGoMount's functionality. I think your users would want an addon that summons flyers when they can fly, and summons ground-only mounts when they can't fly. That's what I wish this addon did.

tiker Jan 24, 2012 at 21:35 UTC - 0 likesWithout trying to classify every mount now and into the future, and without potentially breaking something people have gotten accustomed to, I've now left it up to each person to exclude mounts they don't want specific to the zone they are in. GoGoMount 4.3.2 has a new options panel to exclude mounts you don't want to use in the zone you're in.

There's enough people asking for a way to eliminate the mounts that "can fly" from non flying areas.
That would include the rockets, carpets, copters, etc..
I'll look into adding this as a configurable option.

Perhaps a better option would be to prefer mounts that can't fly when I ask for a "ground only" mount. That way, if the only mount available is a flying / riding mount, it will get selected.

I generally write GoGoMount to do what is allowed in game. So gryphons are usable in non-flying areas so I updated GoGoMount to allow this to happen. There's always at least 1 person somewhere who will want this.
For those who do not, there's the exclude list (to exclude mounts from all zones) and preferred mount lists (for both the current zone and all zones). At the moment you can exclude the flying carpet but it will never be summoned, even in flying areas.
I'll see what I can do about adding zone specific exclude options for you.

Sorry for the lag in response - RL got in the way.
I've attached the log for my warlock where I hit my ground-only hotkey and got the flying carpet instead (it worked the first time just to spite me; I canceled, debugged again, and got the carpet the second time).
Since the last game patch, gryphons are now also pulling up as ground-only mounts. I know some people use these in ground-only areas, but personally, if I hit my ground-only hotkey, I want a ground-only mount. I don't know if there's anything you can do to work this out so everyone's happy - if it's impossible, I'll just deal, but yeah. Thank you in advance for looking into this.

I'm pretty sure it's a preference you have causing those two mounts to be summoned over other ground mounts but I need a log file to confirm that. I can't just remove these mounts as ground mounts because some people do use them as ground mounts but I can find out why the others don't summon.
