GoGoMount

536 - Ground mounts near water surface in non-flyable zones

Currently I know there is an option that GoGoMount will summon flying mounts for me when I'm near the water surface, to let me fly up directly.

In zones that are not flyable, i.e. Battlegrounds, Tol Barad, Tol Barad Peninsula, Exodar & its outskirts, Silvermoon & its outskirts, and Darkmoon Faire Isle, GoGoMount follows its logic and summons whatever it thinks suitable. In my case that I own a Sea Turtle, in the water GoGoMount will summon Sea Turtle for me -- near the surface or not.

Riding a swimming mount is a good idea when I intend to dive into the water, but when I'm near the surface, what I want to do more is actually to hop over the water surface, because since certain patch (can't remember which) the "hopping" speed above water surface has become fast, it's like normal ground speed I assume. In case of Sea Turtle, it's swimming speed is slower than hopping speed on a general ground mount, and sadly it's ground speed is equal to walking speed, that implies its hopping speed is also slower than usual. So instead of swimming or hopping on my Sea Turtle, I rather want a general ground mount when I am near the surface.

In other words, can you add this logic: When a player is near the water surface and the zone is not flyable, summon a general ground mount for the hopping usage. That to be said, Sea Turtle or Poseidus are ruled out here because they have slower/none ground speed for hopping, not because they are swimming mounts.

Haha, you were wise. They change it back in 4.3.2 :p

I noticed the increased speed myself when hoping along the water surface in a battle ground.  Definitely new with 4.3 but was it an intended change?  I haven't noticed any official notes from Blizzard saying it's intended or not (but I haven't look too hard yet either).

I don't think this is something Blizzard would purposely add so let me find out before writing code to support something like this.
