65 - New Enchants not Showing
******* Did you look through previous tickets to see if it has been reported already as maybe something similarly named?
******
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Import original db.
2. Learn a new enchant.
3. Look at who can do enchant afterwards.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I learned Massacre this morning. I had the addon installed previously. I figured after learning a new enchant it would pick this up. Normally it shows my name at the top along with other enchanters who can do the same enchant. In this instance it did not. It still only shows the other enchanters in the guild (i'm assuming who had it already when they installed GuildCraft).
What version of the product are you using? (Open the options window, it's at the bottom. or do /dump GuildCraft.version and put that here)
Latest as of this moment on Curse.com (2/13/2008, said it was updated "yesterday").
Do you have an error log of what happened? --Do Not include your addon list--
No errors, name just doesn't show on the enchant.
Please provide any additional information below.
Not sure what else I can provide you.

OrionShock Fri, 20 Feb 2009 22:39:18It will only "automatically" synch when you login.
If you learn a new enchant, go into the options and click publish to guild. Then Go into your browser and Shift Clikc on Refresh. Each member of the guild that has already opened the browser will need to ShiftClick on Refresh to see the updated list. If they haven't opened the browser then their fine.
But really this is un-nessisary. The situation your experiancing was deemed acceptable because to "fix" it would require alot more spam and traffic than is desired, sorry. If you REALLY think it should be fixed, plz get people to vote on this ticket... it's not something i see as being too teriably useful, and will put it in if there is a reall push for it.

Zenom2 Fri, 20 Feb 2009 16:09:23The original problem is this. I am 440 Enchanting, getting new enchants daily. Originally it wasn't showing it updated in my GuildCraft (i think that was your regexp bug). But once I learn a new enchant say Tuskar's Vitality, it doesn't get sent to the other guildies. So all the data seems to be out of sync amongst all the versions of GuildCraft our members have when we get new enchants/patterns/recipies.

OrionShock Wed, 18 Feb 2009 06:24:09Synch and versioning is done by the client receiving.. so if those receiving have a corrupted version then it's not going to show.
Also Zenom2, im having troubles understanding the entirety of the problem your having. Can you start at the beginning and explain the whole thing.

Zenom2 Tue, 17 Feb 2009 23:49:37I did a publish to guild and others (yes they were online when i did it). Didn't get the changes. It seems there are always recipes to learn, I would also think there could/should be a better way to handle this. The percentage of people with professions probably don't have all the recipes.

Zenom2 Mon, 16 Feb 2009 21:09:33Gonna test some stuff on this today. I just got a new version. As of yesterday though I couldn't get it to show, will keep you updated.

OrionShock Fri, 13 Feb 2009 22:55:45When i updated this for 3.0.8a? i chnaged one of the regexes improperly so it wasn't picking up the entire data set. The recent beta / alpha has this fix in it.
Just remember, the Syncing & Display proccess are lazy, so your never going to see something appear live after you learn a new recipie. You can do the hard way of manually publishing and forcing the browse to refresh (hold down shift); that should make it show up. The other way is to reload your UI.
Please remember that this is not intended for use with leveling a profession, but for established crafters.

Zenom2 Fri, 13 Feb 2009 21:52:02I also want to add that I am a JC and Enchanter. Not sure if that will help at all. If there is more than I can help with let me know.
