The purpose of Guild Reminder is to make the Guild Message of the Day more noticable. It is often missed because of addon spam when logging in or by chat spam if it is changed while you are logged on.
To make the GMotD more noticable it will pop up a small window with the new MOTD after the game is finished loading or whenever you change subzones. It will automatically disappear after 10 seconds, whenever you press Escape, or when you click the "Understood!" button. The popup window will not appear unless the guild message has been changed.
This AddOn was originally coded by Belleron. It had not been updated since patch 2.3 and was removed due to inactivity. This version of the AddOn fixes two bugs. One bug spammed you if you were not guilded and another bug caused the AddOn to fail to function post3.1.
