What Is It:

HelpMeSheep is a light and simple addon to help Mages effectively CC a target with their polymorph spell using the focus feature of the game. The following are core features of the addon:

- A Sheep timer (both PVE and PVP friendly)

- Range Check for your Focus Target (Turns your "Sheep Target" button green if in range, red if not.)

- DoT alerts (Turns your "Sheep Target" button blue if your target has a DoT on it which would break your sheep.)

Chat Alerts for the following sheep related events:

Sheep Target Selected - Alerts in selected channel(s) who you will be sheeping as well as their raid icon

DoT Applied to Sheep - Alerts in selected channel(s) that a DoT has been placed on your Sheep Target.

Sheep Cast Failed - Alerts in selected channel(s) that your sheep cast has failed based on one of the following criteria:

• Absorb
• Block
• Deflect
• Dodge
• Evade
• Immune
• Miss
• Parry
• Reflect
• Resist

Sheep Cast Success - Alerts in selected channel(s) that you have successfully sheeped your sheep target (Note: will not announce if you sheep a target that is currently sheeped)

Sheep Break - Alerts in selected channel(s) that your sheep target has broken.

Player Dies - Alerts in selected channel(s) that you have died as well as who you were sheeping and how long until your sheep breaks.

What the Buttons do

Select Target: Selects your sheep (focus)

Sheep Target: It will basically run the following line of Macrotext:

 /cast [target=focus] Polymorph

Options

• Sheep With Select - Attempts to sheep your sheep target when you select it

• Stop Casting - Will Stop your current cast when you press the sheep target button and cast Polymorph

• Show Load Confirm - Will show a Load Confirm message when this addon loads with its version number

• Only Show GUI In:
  • Arena -- Will only show addon in arenas
  • Instance/Raid -- Will only show addon in Instances or Raids
  • OnDemand -- Will only show addon when the following command is typed : "/hms show" (see Slash Commands)

• • Note: Checking OnDemand will result in Arena and Instance/Raid loading being turned off.

Keybinds

There are keybinds for the "Select Target" and "Sheep Target" buttons in the default blizzard binding interface. Simply go to the game's menu (ESC) --> Keybindings --> and scroll down to the HelpMeSheep headed section.

Slash Commands

/hms show -- Shows MainFrame

/hms hide -- Hides MainFrame

/hms reset -- Resets MainFrame's Position

/hms timer -- Toggles the Timer's Configuration frame

The Custom Message Markup System

Insert one of the following into your custom messages :

*SheepInfo* - the sheep target's name and icon

*Player* - Your Name

*MissType* - The reason your sheep failed ( used in the Sheep Cast Fail message )

*TimeLeft* - The  time left on your sheep.  Used for the Player Dies Message.

*BreakSource* - The name of who broke your sheep ('Duration' if it timed out.)

Any 3.0x updates will be focused on patching up HelpMeSheep for Wotlk. Anything after that (3.xx) will be back to normal development and feature additions (a.k.a my long TODO list)
