"I have a lot of ignored players (almost 1 thousand). It all comes down to the algorithm you use for searching. If you do it the normal way by comparing each raid member to each ignored player, it will take around 40 * 1000 = 40000 comparisons. Maybe you could use a binary search since the ignore list is already alphabetically sorted. This all comes down to what functionality LUA offers you of course."

This deficiency in efficiency has been addressed; however, I don't have the ambition right now to join a party with more than just my alt account in order to further test this.

    Hello,

I am receiving the message of ignored players many times as well. It just happened in AV. I had one ignored player. Got the same message over and over again whenever anyone else joined the raid. Basically whenever another player joined the BG, I received the initial message for that one ignored player.

Most disturbing is the performance drop when searching the raid group and comparing it to the list of ignored players. Practically my game freezes for 1-2 seconds before posting the message. But this also happens even if no message is displayed, hence the conclusion the performance drop is due to the search function.

I have a lot of ignored players (almost 1 thousand). It all comes down to the algorithm you use for searching. If you do it the normal way by comparing each raid member to each ignored player, it will take around 40 * 1000 = 40000 comparisons. Maybe you could use a binary search since the ignore list is already alphabetically sorted. This all comes down to what functionality LUA offers you of course.

Another idea would be to put up a Yes\No flag in the options to activate or deactivate this warning message and also the search (especially the search plz!).

Hope this helps a little. Best of luck!

It's not supposed to warn if it sees the same player before the party is disbanded.

Some more info: Another ignores guy joined the raid (also had no reason added), and now the list only showed the first guy (that i had added a reason to).

It also seems that the warning is popping up every time someone in the raid zones in or out of the instance, possibly even zoning in or out anywhere in the world.

Ok got some more info. Was in VoA25 today, 23 in raid, an ignore guy was in my group and i got the warning. The list was empty when hovering over the warning. I then disabled all addons except Vuhdo and Impignore, and made no difference. I then added a reason to why i had ignored the guy, and suddenly he showed up in the list.

While on the subject, the warning is popping up every time someone joins the raid, or if raid leader or assistant moves someone around in the raid. This results in the warning popping up about 20 times before the raid is full, possible to make it pop up only once in the same raid, unless someone new joins thats also ignored?

Not able to reproduce it making a raid with an ignored alt. Ill get back when i got more info as to when this is happening.

I need more information because there's nothing wrong with it on my end.

Errors? Other addons? Party or raid? How many players in the party being ignored?
