Looter's Aid was designed specifically with the needs of our Guild in mind, but has expanded from that.
When using master looter in a raid, we use a -1 system to allocate the loot. If someone wins a loot item, they get a count of -1. If they have the highest roll for another item, but another player who is still on a count of 0 has the next highest roll, the 0 player wins the item and then goes on -1 - and so on.
What it does
Looter's Aid will only function within a raid if you are the master looter. When you loot a corpse that yields loot at or above the loot threshold, the Looter's Aid window will automatically pop up, presenting you with a number of options.
Main Features:
- Tracks player counts separately for main spec and off spec
- Issues a raid warning to announce the start of a roll
- Automatically tracks all rolls
- Issues a raid warning when multiple rolls are received from one player
- Shows player counts in the raid/chat/party window
- Allows manual adjustment of individual player counts
- Allocates a raid disenchanter (loot awarded to the disenchanter is not counted)
- Allows the master looter to switch to an alt mid raid without losing any data
- Responds to whispers from other players (!ms or !os) with their current count
- Optionally limit loot rolls to a 7 second window
- Highlights players inelligible to receive loot
- Displays available loot in the raid window
- 'Free For All' mode allows loot rolls with no penalties
- Can transfer its data to another user if the master looter is changed mid-raid
Slash commands:
/la change <player> <ms/os> <count> - Change a player's count
/la close - Close the interface window
/la counts - Open the players counts window
/la dis <player> - Set the raid disenchanter
/la forget <player> - Forget a player's roll
/la help - Display help
/la ms <chat/raid/party> - Show main spec counts
/la os <chat/raid/party> - Show off spec counts
/la reset - Reset all data
/la rolls <chat/raid/party> - Show current/last rolls
/la sync - Transfer data to the new master looter after a change
/la winner <player> - Change the winner
What it doesn't do
- Looter's Aid cannot track multiple raids
- Existing master looter functionality is not disabled, it's still there if you need it

Deepac Fri, 22 Jan 2010 07:30:53Sorry for the delay in replying Zaulis. There is a minor issue with this which has been fixed in the next release. I haven't released it yet as I'm having issues with WoW DC'ing on me for no apparent reason, plus I haven't got around to doing much coding lately thanks to the recent content changes :-)

Zaulis Wed, 13 Jan 2010 20:57:19Really enjoying the simplicity of this addon. I have a quick question of usage though since I found nothing on this page saying how this is handled. Currently I hit the announce button for Main spec but if no one rolls I am not sure how to proceed to and announce Off spec rolls since the Announce button changes to Countdown. I have tried pressing Countdown but it remains grayed out. Should I be hitting the Award Loot button (which I did not want to try during raid) even though no one rolled so I can re-announce the item using Off spec or Free rolls? Or is there is there something I am missing?

trippsolddude Thu, 26 Nov 2009 14:00:54Hi Deepac, d/l'ed your latest release last night and tried it in Ony, great having all the new features but I was unable to award loot in any of the roll modes (Main, OFF or Free). I had to re-install the previous release for the remainder of the raid. I will try to get you some Swatter info tonight on it but I think it was pointing to line 201 in General.lua (expected string). Sry I can't be more specific at the moment. Also think there was an issue with the rolls showing up, seems my roll was recorded but no one else's, not sure about this part.

Deepac Sun, 22 Nov 2009 05:04:42Thanks for the comments.
I'm working on an update which I hope to release just as soon as I've been able to test it. I will certainly implement your suggestions at some point, possibly in the next release with the exception on number 3, which I noticed the other day and have already fixed in the next release, all fields should now reset when you hit the Announce Loot button :-)
EDIT: Your suggestions were easier to implement that I thought and will all be in the next release.

trippsolddude Thu, 19 Nov 2009 18:00:01I just started using this for our guild and like it a lot. Thanks for your time in developing it.
Couple of things would make it even better.
