Masque_Dark

Dark

Before we go any farther: This is a plug-in for Masque and will do nothing except take up 116 KB worth of your hard drive space without it.

This is actually three plug-ins for Masque in one folder.

They are :
Masque_Dark. Basically, a 2 pixel black skin with a highlight on the top and left side. There is also a dark "glow" (both inside and outside the button surround) around the "skin". It has a generic "WoW" backdrop for the empty buttons and a gray button for the empty slots on your action bars so you can tell at a glance that those buttons are, well, empty.

Masque_Dark-Alliance. This is a 2 pixel Alliance blue skin with a gold highlight on the top and left sides. It also has a dark "glow" (both inside and outside the button surround) around the "skin". It uses a grayscale Alliance flag for the backdrop and uses the Masque_Dark skin for the empty slots on your action bars.

Masque_Dark-Horde. Basically the same as the Alliance skin, just with Horde red and gold on the "skin" and a Horde grayscale flag for the backdrop.

One of the really neat things about Masque is that StormFX has added in the ability to use custom fonts for the "hotkey", count, macro and duration texts on the buttons. In the case of the count, macro and duration texts, you can also use a custom color (for each).

I have added those options into this "skin". However, since these things are written into the Lua file (md.lua, in this case) with no way in Masque's in-game option panel to change them (other than enabling the fonts option) and since they are a personal choice, I felt it best to comment them out. They are available, but you will have to edit the "md.lua" file directly to make them useable.

I have also included a "mdFonts" folder just in case you might want to keep the fonts you use within the "Masque_Dark" folder. It can be safely deleted if you don't want to put your fonts there, or you can just leave it there. An empty folder doesn't take up much space.

PLEASE NOTE that if you update your addons with the Curse Client and edit the "md.lua" file and/or add fonts to the "mdFonts" folder, the Curse Client will attempt to update this addon the first time updating after you edit it. You will get two "buttons" next to it in the Clients addons list for "Accept" and "Ignore". Choose "Accept", and the Client will then list this addon as "Modified". I really don't foresee changing anything in this plug-in until there is either a change to the "Masque" addons API (which might cause changes to the way plug-ins are written for it) or the next WoW patch (the most likely of the two). If you choose to update the plug-in, it will just put it back to it's "unmodified" state and you'll have to edit it again to get your fonts back.

I was originally going to release this as three different plug-ins, but it seems to make more sense to just roll all three into one and be done with it. OK. It made more sense to me, at least.

Hope you enjoy it.

While I'm sure every addon author enjoys hearing that people like their work, the comments section is not the place to post problems and I WILL ignore all posts in the comments section about problems with this plug-in. Thank you.
