13 - HUD interaction visual effect
What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
When selecting the "Original Minimap" option, perhaps it would be better if the transparency effect to only affect the minimap portion shown inside the green circle while the minimap portion outside of the green circle should be hidden or completely transparent instead of the transparency option applying to the whole minimap. The rotating square map image might look a little bit messy.

Hum that shouldn't happen ether... If it was disabled on entering a building it SHOULD stay disabled when you exit! Will see if I can replicate it. Thanks

Hi, thanks for that. Oh. that was my mistake. I got it confused. I had the HUD disabled before entering a building. When I exited the building that was when the HUD automatically came up. :)

Zasurus Jan 12, 2012 at 07:14 UTC - 0 likesHumm... That should happen the other way around! It is meant to disable the HUD and enable the minimap when you go inside! LOL Never had it do it the other way around! Anyway the options to enable/disable that feature are under "AutoEnable/Disable" then un-tick "AutoEnable MiniHugeHUD Inside" (see screenshot here). Although I would be grateful if you could first confirm that does do it the wrong way around for you (enable MiniHugeHUD when you go inside!) before you disable it. And if so throw another ticket up with as much info as you can on why you think it happens.
Soz for that. :)

great! :)
also, I'm not sure if it's a bug or maybe it's something I did. but, when you hide the hud (displaying the normal minimal) and you enter a building - the hud comes up without me enabling it. it automatically enables the hud and disables the minimap. perhaps it's a setting I missed?
great addon btw :)

Zasurus Jan 06, 2012 at 12:05 UTC - 0 likesI did come across this on the square minimap before but didn't have time at the time to look into it.
You can't really add any kind of round mask to hide the stuff outside the green circle BUT I could switch the minimap to a round minimap while it was on the HUD which would give the same effect.
As for the dark black background square to the whole minimap I have added this as it shows you where the edge of the minimap is (as when it is up you can't interact with the world behind it for turning with the mouse as it will try to instead ping the minimap etc...). I can't remember if I made this optional or not... would have though I did! :)
I will have a go (when/if I get time) to make the minimap round if the user has it square normally. And add an option to remove the black box if you want. Although likely won't be for a while as super busy currently! :(
