8 - database import from mobinfo2
for some reason, my mobinfo2 database was not imported. It should be done automatically if possible.

Speeddymon Sun, 27 Sep 2009 01:43:10Invalid bug. MobInfo3 is just a renamed copy of MobInfo2. Download MobInfo2 and use the database you were trying to import.

riamus2 Sat, 28 Feb 2009 01:02:50I don't think it matters if you have the MI2 folder anymore. If you can upload that file somewhere (the import database), I can take a look at it and see if I notice anything that might make it not recognized.

Fantamus Fri, 27 Feb 2009 00:03:12Since I deleted MI2 addon folder then it shouldn't be possible. Or should this folder still be in my addons folder?

riamus2 Wed, 25 Feb 2009 12:56:25Well, I know it works fine for me. Are you sure you have MI3 loaded and MI2 not loaded? Maybe you're trying to open it in the wrong one? Other than that, I don't know.

Fantamus Mon, 23 Feb 2009 18:56:49Okay, I did as listed below...
Renamed my old MI2 database to MI3_Import.lua. Put that in my MobInfo3 folder. I did the edit file in notepad (replaced all MI2 with MI3). But after starting WoW again then it didn't become visible within MobInfo3 for importing.
Any ideas? Anyone tried this successfully?

riamus2 Tue, 13 Jan 2009 14:41:10I haven't read the readme since it was released on Curse, but previously it did not really mention everything you have to do. Right now, it's somewhat complicated to merge MI2's database. Hopefully, twobits can add an automatic merge/converter for MI2 at some point.
Right now, you have to do a couple of things. First, rename your old MI2 database as MI3_Import.lua (keep a backup just in case something goes wrong). Put that in your MobInfo3 folder. Then edit that file in notepad or another text editor. Search for and replace all MI2 with MI3. It will then be visible within MobInfo3 for importing. Remember to do all of this without WoW running.
