Multimail - A mass mailer for guilds, friends, and arena teams. Mass mail to guild ranks, friends, teams, saved lists, or any combination of level, class, even time online.
- type /multimail or /mm or click the button in the MailBox. Type a name and hit enter to add it to the list; click on a name in the list to remove it. To actually send, the 'send mail' frame must be open, and you must have something written in either the subject or a body. Clicking the big MutliMail button will then mail everyone in the list. Close Multimail with the 'Esc' key.
- Multiple lists are supported. Where it says 'displaying list #' at the top right, that number can be changed. All names in the current list are saved automatically, so you may change that number anytime, start a new list, then change it back and all your original names will still be there. Great for saving past arena teammate's names.
- MultiMail now allows custom mailing to any combination of guild rank, class, race, last online, and level to friends and/or guild members. Click the "Custom" button and select your criteria.
Race doesn't work the best. I'm not sure why. If anyone knows why the UnitRace() function works sometimes and not others, I'd love to know. I suggest never using it. UnitSex() seems to work just as badly. I'd love to implement that. :)
*With patch 4.0, Blizzard has capped the amount of mails you can send at 100, and you cannot send more until they are read by the recipients. Please log on to the WoW forums and make a post asking that an exception be made for in-guild and between friends mail!

Gorilivan May 10, 2011 at 22:34 UTC - 0 likesI haven't been playing as much, so I haven't had much time to even see where it settled down at. I am certain daxdax appreciates all his fans of this addon as well as do I. Thank you for keeping us update Aoife.

Aoife May 10, 2011 at 16:53 UTC - 0 likesI wanted to let you know that I'm still using this in 4.1.0a, even though the number of emails it can send is still limited, it is still very useful!

Aoife Nov 02, 2010 at 16:08 UTC - 0 likesAny news on Blizz fixing this cap somehow? I've not been able to send more than 15 or 20 at a time and then I can't send any more to anyone. I'm assuming there's a cap to the # per X minutes that can be sent. And this is truly annoying since I'm a guild leader and raid organizer and need to communicate with a large group of people in a timely manner in game.
Also, it appears that mail will be sent only if the recipient is online.
sigh.
UPDATED 11/19: The cap is still in place and it's 20 at a time and then I can't send any mail to anyone. This is really annoying. I've posted on the old forums and haven't found anything yet on the new ones so I'll be posting there. Or better yet, opening a ticket or many.

Gorilivan Oct 14, 2010 at 15:05 UTC - 0 likesI realize the error is there now, I am in the process of getting it fixed. I need to brush up on my lua and get it fixed. Unfortunately, I am on satellite internet and this update has caused me to exceed my bandwidth limit for the month, so update is going to be a little slower than just changing the interface version number. Again, I thank you for your patience and will give out an update in another week as to the status of this error.

daxdax Nov 18, 2008 at 07:48 UTC - 0 likesFile is up and waiting to be approved. I don't play as much, so I don't have a guild or any friends. If someone could test this, it would be appreciated. I know the basic functionality works but not sure about the custom mailing or arena teams.
