Mute Annoying WoW Sounds - WoW AddOns

This addon will mute the annoying sounds of WoW. Please read the installation instructions below!
v3.3 mutes 2803 sounds.

If you would like to make a request for a sound to be added feel free to post in the comments below and be specific. If it's a class spell sound, try find a video where the sound can be heard, include the time in your comment.
If you are requesting a creature or mount please include the exact name of the creature or mount that makes those sounds.

Basic list of muted sounds

Kovok from Dread Wastes and the rest of his kind have been silenced in 3.1.
Common mechanical units, creatures and mounts: Including the Goblin Trike, Chopper, MechaStrider, Flying Machine and Rocket Mount sounds
Pets with looping or often played sounds: Lil'XT, Smoky, Singing Sunflower, Perky Pug & Thor to name a few.
All train emote and worgen sniff sounds.
Tyraels Charger mount sounds. All sounds including the ambient loop.
Biological and Misc mount sounds: Includes Quilen, Onyx Panther, Mammoth, Saber, Horse, Undead Horse, Fossilized Raptor, Celestial Steed, Chicken, Bear, Elekk, Ram, Hawkstrider, Winged Guardian and Broom Stick sounds. This also removes all wingflap noises.
Hunter attacks and pet sounds: Gunshot, Wasp Wings, Monkey, Core Hounds (Including the giant footstep sounds).
Waterfall, River and Fountain sounds: This is mainly for fountains (especially those in stormwind!).
Various Class Spell sounds: Things like rogues FoK, deathknight/warlock/paladin mount spells, path of frost, mage armor, hunters pet call, shaman elemental shields.
Elemental creature loop sounds: Mage water elemental pets and shaman fire & earth totems.
Elemental and Revenant Fire aggro and death sounds: These sounds are spammed in the firelands daily hub area.
City sounds: Orgrimmar, Darnassus, Stormwind & Ironforge clock sounds and a few looping ambience sounds.
Event sounds: Headless Horseman Speech, Rhonin & Kalecgos City Speech, Brewfest mole machine, Midsummer bonfire buffs, Fireworks.
Battleground sounds:
- Alterac Valley: Herald sounds
- Warsong Gulch: Start, Victory & Defeat sounds.
- Arathi Basin: "Faction Near Victory" sound.
- Strand of the Ancients: Victory/Defeat sound.
Tradeskill sounds: Alchemy, Leatherworking, Engineering, Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Jewelcrafting sounds.
Other Misc sounds: Dismount, Piccolo of the Flaming Fire, Instance Portals, Toy Train Set & more.

Installation:

Extract the "Sound" folder to your World of Warcraft>Data folder.
To uninstall simply delete the Sound folder.
To unmute specific sounds, delete both the .ogg & .wav versions of the files, if you have trouble finding a specific sound, post in the comments.

There are .ogg and .wav versions of each sound as some sounds can only be muted by one type, since there is no way to know which one without going in game and testing each sound I have simply included both regardless.

Hiho, Hunter here - got a new tameable Pet - "Manax": http://www.wowhead.com/npc=50743 It's a damaged "SilithidTankBoss" - he makes something like a deep stomp from time to time and a sizzle when he moves slowly. Pls add it - thx

I have been trying everywhere to find a way to mute crying. Specifically a Night Elf Female crying. But all crying would be nice. I love doing pet battles in MoP... but every time a pet dies, my character cries, and it's very grating. Help would be great if anyone could please tell me which files to change. Thank you!

I'm using Windows 7 and unfortunately following your installation instructions to the letter [I've tried it manually] fails to mute the annoying sounds. Could you please suggest a work around for Windows 7 users as WoWMatrix can't "see" your superb add-on.

1.19a crashes wow. I've delete sound folder and copy sound folder of 1.19a, Wow.exe crashed when I select one of my character to start game. So, I delete sound folder and recover it with backup copy of sound folder.

Worgen male went choo-choo in the AH, might check and see if you missed worgens. edit: Might add 'Deathy' pet burping sound to your list. Thank you.

Sorry, I had included it but curse has silly file rules so I had to remove it before it would let me upload. The text file is now in the sound folder.

Updated to v1.4. Cleaned up the description and included the text file for the version on Curse.

I have used addons like this before..but a path where they go would be very appreciated ! it has to be done right or it does not work..so as above..I would like to know also! please respond thank you

Doesn't seem to be any read-me included. Since there isn't a toc file, I assume it doesn't reside in the add-ons folder. Could you please add the extraction path to your description?
