2 - Ability to add an officer note on join.
What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
Not sure how you'd work this, but I like to add the date that someone joins to the officer note. I can see there could be issues if multiple people were using the addon and did not have the same string to put in the officer note.
Please provide any additional information below.

Lazl0 Sun, 16 Nov 2008 10:44:30Sorry, hadn't looked here in a while. Aside from date, possibilities that come to mind are: 1. Name of the toon who invited them to the guild. (Don't know if this is possible if someone without the addon invites them. Though it occurs to me that the guild info log says who invited them, so the info is available.) 2. Their professions and maybe skill levels in those profs. (i.e. jc/miner 150/200) 3. Their spec build. e.g. 10 Disc 30 Holy 5 Shadow or 10D/30H/5S. If this is even possible I'd always put all three trees in the default order. Even if it's a zero value in one or more trees.
Frankly it occurs to me that 2 and 3 are probly better ideas for the proposed NazGuild tools. Something that scans online guild members (probly an on demand or on login scan) and then updates the notes. Maybe with the option for a guild chat message for any changes.
Perhaps set it up for adding notes to either public or officer note. e.g. professions and skill levels in public note and join date and officer who invited them in the officer note.

gramg Sat, 11 Oct 2008 06:09:04What fields would you want in such a feature? Date, and?
Please make sure to create a ticket for feature requests/bug reports. A comment on curse.com is unlikely to be seen very soon and if seen unlikely to be remembered when I have time to code.

Lazl0 Wed, 03 Sep 2008 16:42:59Here's another thought; how about it uses one message if I'm the one who invited them and a different message if they were invited by someone else?

Lazl0 Fri, 29 Aug 2008 07:55:40The proposed "NazGuildTools" sounds wonderful. Currently I'm using "TMrecruit" for inviting and turning off it's welcome message as it only welcomes if I am the one who invited them. You may want to look at it though as it does much of what you plan to. For alt/main differentiation, you might take a look at GuildAds as it has a method of grouping toons by account. As for how I access changing the message, I was doing it through the standard interface options menu. Since you questioned how I accessed it, I figured out the slash commands and will use that, at least for changing messages. For feature suggestions, the only one that immediately comes to mind, would be for the recruiting message to also have multiple rotating entries. Possibly even the ability to have two run consecutively as a sort of double length message. I think that would be annoying for the recruiting message but I'd really like the quasi-double-length message for the GMOTD. Thanks for your time and effort on all this.

gramg Fri, 22 Aug 2008 02:11:24I've got a few ideas, but it will require a completely different addon. Thinking of an guildtools type addon to help with things like officer/guild notes, alt-main differentiation, etc. NazGuildRecruiter. will stay just a "welcome %s!" type addon for non-officers. The one I'm thinking of will be more along the lines of a "invite %s person to guild" if they are already in guild explain that they'll have to leave their current guild, etc. Welcome them either via whisper or via guild chat with a "here are our forums, these are our rules" or whatever people want. And finally any details like record join date, etc. Marking this accepted but not for this addon. (note the MOTD cycler function will make its way from the recruiter into this new addon). Please respond here if you have anything specific you would like to see in the new addon I'm dubbing for the moment NazGuildTools
