7 - Buff Missing Warning
What is the enhancement in mind? How should it look and feel?
The change would come when one of the buff/debuff setup is missing, instead of showing the bar, show a warning "x Buff is Missing" or make a splash-screen with the name of the buff in the middle of the screen (and to push it a bit farther, with an anchor).
The option could be easily selected with a check box type thing like the "Only show if cast by self" with "Warn if buff is missing".
This is just an idea, there are small addons out there doing it (annoying buff reminder), they're just not as customizable as NTK imo.
Whichever way this goes, thanks for the great addon!

Hmmm also you are right about the warning being in the bar instead of having to configure multiples in the middle of the screen and have Coordinate set for it. The flashing idea is very good too as it would be easier to see it.
I am not sure of a solution for it. I guess one way for it to really work would be to have only one spell watched in a different bar. It was just an idea but I can see how difficult it would be to add it since NTK is so customizable.
Another way but this would mean much more work would be to have a side-part or pluggin to NTK that would let you add buffs to watch for and tell you "hey it's missing" :) but then it's just as easy to get "Annoying Buff Reminder" and not give you more work, it's a great addon as it is.

Kitjan Dec 20, 2009 at 22:49 UTC - 0 likesIt's certainly easiest to show the warning where the bar would be, is that going to be eye-catching enough? Perhaps it should pulse or something?
Otherwise, there'd need to be configuration UI for where to display the warning. It also wouldn't be clear what to do it multiple bars wanted to complain at you.
Another problem is what "x" should be in your example. If the bar is set up to watch "Flametongue,Earthliving" what should it say? How about if it's watching 58734? I'm guessing the warning message will need to be an option as well.
