Overachiever - achievement tools and tweaks

127 - Still has delay pause while looting due to guild 5% perk

Which version of Overachiever are you using?
0.60

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. be in a guild that has the perk of getting a percentage of loot to go directly to guild bank
2. be in a raid or 5-man party and loot a mob
3. sit in the fire while guild members in the party loot during an encounter
4. get pissed and log out and disable Overachiever until it gets fixed  :-)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Supposed to NOT be a pause or slowdown or delay while anyone in your guild is looting if your guild has the 5% money deposit perk

Do you have an error log of what happened?
Not needed

Does this problem occur when all other addons are disabled? If not, use the process of elimination and report where the addon conflict lies (including the version of the conflicting addon).
It only happens due to Overachiever.

Please provide any additional information below.
Thank you for fixing the delay for "normal" looting but now you need a check for the guild "perk" and I think it's when you get to guild level 5 (??) anyway when the guild bank gets 5% of all looted money from a kill deposited. Overachiever has the same delay it used to have prior to the previous fix, so this was simply just overlooked in the fix.

    Hi, thanks for commenting.

    • instead of doing it backwards as you suggested (disabling everything else) I disabled then reenabled mods 1 by 1 until I found the culprit. I have no delay during runs when only Overachiever is disabled, and when I reenable it the looting delay comes back. I have not done any runs on a toon not in a guild. I have not done any runs on a toon without that guild perk. I have not done any runs on this toon with no guildies in the group (pugs still fail too much).
    • the pause/delay while looting was there in earlier releases, then it got fixed and worked great. that was before our guild hit level 5 and got the "Cash Flow" perk. when I logged in that evening and did a 5-man run with guildies only, every time anyone looted a mob I froze up for a second or two or three. it was very much like the previous delay problem in OA so I popped out and disabled OA and came back into the instance and after that everything ran smoothly.
    • I was previously running the following release (I have the archive) and still got the slowdown every time someone looted after our guild hit level 5:
    r69 | tuhljin | 2010-12-11 02:40:50 +0000 (Sat, 11 Dec 2010) | 1 line
    Changed paths:
       M /trunk/Overachiever_Tabs/build.lua
       M /trunk/readme.txt
    - Tabs module: Attempted to address some performance issues
by throttling an event that can be called frequently in combat.

    • since then I updated to the current v0.60 release and still get the slowdown at each loot. I do not keep the achievement UI open because it takes up too much screen real estate nor have I enabled tracking of achievements.
    • under the Blizz Interface [Game] tab in Objectives I have enabled "Automatic Quest Progress Updates" but disabled automatic Tracking (just mentioning in case that affects OA at all).
    • I will grant that it may be an incompatibility in OA with another mod and thus in all fairness the other mod might be the culprit but only when OA is also loaded. Not sure I can get a group together that will let me log out after each mob kill so I can reenable a mod for testing each time :(
    • my list of mods I keep loaded is extensive so I have uploaded screenshots of the mod window paged down each time with a single overlap so you can see them all plus their active status.

You say "It only happens due to Overachiever," but did you try disabling all other addons?

I'm not sure what delay for "normal" looting you're talking about. I addressed some performance issues (mainly having to do with being in combat) in the last couple of releases but I don't recall any report about a delay when looting. Are you doing anything else that might factor in, like tracking the achievements that show how much gold you or the guild have looted? Or do you have those achievements selected (clicked so it's expanded/highlighted) in the achievement UI?

You say you think this has to do with the guild perk where you get extra gold for the guild bank, but did you try a guild run on another character that doesn't have that perk? Did you try non-guild groups to make sure it was only when you're with guildies?
