7 - Let It Snow Alerts
The "Let It Snow" achievement seems like it's going to be a real problem to achieve quickly. Finding, for example, a "Troll Hunter" as a raiding Alliance Priest is going to be difficult, as it's not often we see enemy units, and much less often that we bother noticing exactly what class each of the races are.
So I'd like to recommend a three-part addition for this particular achievement:
Tooltip alerts, obviously, for those whom you have NOT doused with snowflakes.
An optional "DING!" sound-alert for when you mouse over a player whom you have NOT doused with snowflakes.
A way of suppressing such sound-alerts for those times when you don't have a way of making snowflakes (there's one consumable way and one permanent item that makes them).

Tuhljin Oct 20, 2009 at 04:19 UTC - 0 likesI left this ticket open until now to remind me about possibly implementing an auto-detection kind of thing to determine whether the sound alert should play... but I'm not really sure I want to implement something like that after all. Please submit a new ticket if you'd like to see it (unless such a ticket already exists, in which case you should vote on it and perhaps add comments).

However, this ticket perhaps could be closed, seeing as how it /is/ already done. Unless you're leaving it open on account of the sound-alert part. Personally, I would turn a sound alert off, if such were implemented.

Tuhljin Nov 25, 2008 at 01:09 UTC - 0 likesThe tooltip element to this, at least, is complete and will be in the next version. (I threw in checks for the "Fistful of Love" achievement while I was at it as well.) Whether some sort of sound element gets in depends on how busy I get this week.

Still, if things go smoothly and I have enough free time, it should be in place well before a month has passed. Feel free to pester me about it if it's not ready by the first week of December! ;)
