Typical

This project is abandoned. It probably still works, but the author is unable to respond to further requests for features or bug fixes, as his WoW account expired and he cannot afford to renew it. Apologies for any inconvenience.

PetScout helps you find and capture Battle Pets. It updates itself as you travel and capture pets.

Commands:

  • /petscout - toggles (show/hide) PetScout UI
  • /petscout config - open the configuration UI
  • /petscout reset - move the PetScout UI to default size and position

Please continue to collect discovered Battle Pets. I have notified Blizzard of the API problems that I have discovered (and, I suspect there are even more) and I await their solution/recommendations. Until they fix their internal database and it's interface functions, PetScout cannot harvest reliable Battle Pet information for the user UI.

Found another 5.1 pet not showing in the list of available pets in a zone. The Infinite Hatchling in Tanaris.

Released 1.4 yesterday with many new features that y'all have been asking for.

Then, we posted Patch 1.4.1 which fixed a minor widget visual layering nuisance.

Patch 1.4.2 (coming soon) fixes some minor bugs that only occur on newbie toons (level 1) or for people who have never captured a Battle Pet before.

These patches will be incorporated in our next Release, but we thought some of y'all might want them now.

Thank you for visiting our project website. We hope you like this addon and will send us your comments, suggestions, and bug reports. We will continue to pass on the WoW API bugs to Blizzard as they are discovered.
