PetTracker

78 - Option to hide opposite faction pets

An option to filter on based on Alliance/Horde?  I just mean things the the Argent Page or Argent Hunt.  So Both, one or the other.  I only have Alliance characters so don't really want to be constantly told in that zone that I have not collected everything.

Does anyone know of a site which lists pets obtainable only from a certain faction? To implement this feature I would need such a thing.

I came here to make basically the same request. Would be great to be able to hide some pets from the zone list in particular, also from the map if that wouldn't be a ton of additional work.

In the options it could be in the form of a checklist where you can select the sources you want to track. Some possible categories: wild pets, vendored, dropped, quested, event pets, opposite faction, TCG

Along with opposite-faction pets, pets that are no longer realistically obtainable should be hidden, and there doesn't need to be an option for this, as there is simply no way to get most of these pets (eg. China promotions, WoW anniversaries), and the few that are technically obtainable (eg. BlizzCon pets) are only obtainable by spending thousands of real-world dollars. Anyone willing to spend thousands of dollars on a Murky probably already knows about it and doesn't need PetTracker reminding them about it all the time. :)

I'd also like to see an option to hide:

    • pets that are only available by spending real money, such as those obtained from the Blizzard Pet Store, or those bundled with Collector's Editions.
    • pets that are obtained from TCG loot cards; while most of them are BoE, I'm not going to spend 10,000 gold on a pet, and don't need PetTracker reminding me about them.
    • pets that require a guild.

Actually, it might just be easiest to add an "Ignore Pet" feature, and then users can decided exactly which pets they don't want to be reminded about.

The slashcomand name won't be a problem, as I will never add such a thing.

There is currently no need for slashcommands to access the option menu, as there is a section in the default UI destined just for that (Interface Options -> Addons).

    Again, thank you.

I don't know how you developers keep things straight with the options command line, but PT is currently used by PokemonTrainer.

If you are adding options then perhaps another item to the menu is to be able to switch off Quest pets? I don't want to keep being remind about something I can't get for another 9 months for example.

    Regards David

An option menu is starting to look more and more necessary.
