Power Auras Classic v4 - MoP Version

Designed to give visual or audible cues to the user in response to in-game events, such as gaining buffs or debuffs. Types of cues range from simple texture displays to stack counters, timers to timer bars, and are fully user-configurable. Can be animated or have sounds attached as well.

If you upgraded to Power Auras 5, it is recommended that you remove it and restore your old WTF folder configuration files for PowerAuras if possible. If you did not upgrade to Power Auras 5, everything should work as normal.

The GTFO Addon will work with both Power Auras 4 and Power Auras 5 and no update is necessary.

Slash commands

  • "/pa" - Brings up the configuration menu.
  • "/powa" - Brings up the configuration menu.

What changed so far

  • The addon is fully updated for Mists of Pandaria, ids, spells, classes, power and instance types, api changes, etc.
  • Also the addon is going to properly work in older game clients too.
  • The addon's whole GUI menu got tweaked up, bugged parts are fixed.
  • Added new fonts, texture, sounds.
  • Fixed a lot of glitchy textures.
  • Recoded all texture to RLE loseless targa, which uses less memory. (When the addon show a texture, then the texture is going to stay compressed in the memory, the video card is going to decompress it, and it's going to stay uncompressed in the video card's cache.)
  • Added dropdowns to change the textures blend mode. (This function also replaces the removed "Glow" buttons functionality when set to "ADD".)
  • Added dropdowns to change the frame's and the texture's strata levels. (1 single texture can be placed on 8*20*4*15 = 9600 different strata levels.)
  • Added an option to use gradient colors for the texture, this function also works with the random color function properly.
  • Added an option to grayscale textures.
  • Added an option to display icons with rounded edges.
  • Added a function to rotate textures.
  • Every slider has an editbox now.
  • Every slider's value can be changed with mousewheel up/down, while the mouse is over a slider or it's editbox. (This function replaces the removed "-" and "+" buttons functionality.)
  • Cluthcy and bugged animations got fixed, their other parts got tweaked.
  • Added an option to show predefined, custom and custom unitid (player, target, focus, etc) type 3D Models from the game. This models can be animated, rotated, zoomed in/out, or moved inside of their frame, within all the other functions what textures has.
  • Sounds will be played when you test or hide and aura, if sound is assigned for that aura.
  • Millions of other smaller fixes and changes, see Changes or "!Changelog.txt" for details.

    Great work. Thx. Most auras won't work until you completely uncheck the vehicle checkbox. This should be a bug, but a small one :) *German client*

    Thanks for the 6.0.2 update, i've a trouble with revealing strike [84617] my 5.4 powa doesn't work. I hope that you will fix it when you can ! ;) printscreen here Thanks in advance have a good day!

    FYI spells cooldowns after using a spell the image is still showing which means it isn't working properly its suppose to vanish after you use a spell.

    Well the question is, do you want to see the cooldown of spell1 while you hold down the shift key too, or do you want to show the cooldown of the spell2?

    If the first then you should use "Spell Cooldown" activation, that will always display the cooldown of the selected spell, that trigger is going to check the spell's cooldown directly from the spellbook (You can also use it on pet's spell cooldowns, when "Pet" is checked). "Action Usable" isn't support multi spell macros yet, but it might be doable, i'll look into it.

    Hello, I'm having a problem with Power Auras that I think is a bug. What happens is I will have a macro that looks like this:

    1. showtooltip /cast [nodmod] spell1;[mod:shift]spell2 The macro is then dragged to an action bar which is tied to a key with a normal WoW keybind. So the button on the bar shows spell1 normally, but shows spell2 if the Shift key is down.

    Then, I will have a Power Aura that has an activation of "Action Useable" for spell1. This mostly works: the Power Aura will display until spell1 is cast, then it will show a timer for when that spell is off CD, EXCEPT if I press the shift key, which will hide the timer and show the spell as usable again, even though it is not. Releasing the shift key will hide the aura again, and put the (correct) timer back in place, but having the aura flash in and out whenever I press the shift key is somewhat distracting.

    This problem has been around for many versions, but I didn't think anyone was maintaining this addon so I never posted it before (I don't think.) I can stop the Power Aura from flashing if I get rid of the "#showtooltip" or if I lock it to only show one spell, but that's not a good solution as I may have 4 spells tied to that key and it is handy to be able to see them.

    Works fine for me, sounds like its an addon conflict issues, can you try it with only Power Auras enabled?

    Sorry for that, but it messed up some other type of animations, so in the end thats why i decided to make in user optionable, so it's going to work with all animations if set up properly.

    The strata option is just like as before by default, but it's also user optionable now. Means you can control the secondary animations strata levels too, like you can make it lay onwards on the main animation and so on.

    Also planning to add these options for Timers/Stacks to let the user place the timer/stacks in front of action buttons and stuff, just haven't figured out where to place the dropdowns yet.
