6 - Suggestions for timer
Synopsis: Eliminate hundreds, eliminate leading zero, but continue to allow for minutes/seconds.
I have several suggestions:
- Eliminate the hundredths of a second option. It's way too fast for humans to read and provides no real use.
- Continue to allow for minute/seconds. Being able to see a timer for 2 minutes 3 seconds is far more useful in this mod than Blizzard's practice of rounding up to 3 minutes.
- Eliminate the leading 0 on the timer. Currently 9 seconds reads as 09 seconds. Similarly, 2 minutes reads as 02 minutes. The leading 0 provides no real use and actually makes the mod (very slightly) less usable, as 09 is slightly harder for humans to read than 09. It's fine to right-justify the numbers, as users can compensate when designing their layouts if they're going to have a column of icons numbers (say, cooldowns).

Vaugn2 Fri, 29 May 2009 09:35:29Another suggestion on the timer: it would be very nice to remove the black background if the "glow" box for the aura is unchecked. I use a lot of icons rather than textures, and while removing the glow effect helps icons appear more normal, the black background behind them just clutters up my interface.

Vaugn2 Fri, 29 May 2009 08:43:18Oops, dumb me. I made a typo in that above suggestion. It should read, "09 is slightly harder for humans to read than 9." Not "...read than 09."
