85 - Hide Buffs I don't care about
The general idea here is to remove the amount of buffs covering the screen in 25 man raids when you generally don't care about half of them.
I realize it's already possible to do this via fairly complex blacklists/whitelists and custom profiles, but it would be nice to have this automatic. This can be done fairly easily via categorization. Names from this URL:
http://raidcomp.mmo-champion.com/
-- Armor Buffs
listed as armor
-- Physical DPS Buffs
agility and strength, attack power %, melee haste (mislabeled on raidcomp as this also affects hunters now)
-- Generic Damage
crit chance %, damage %
-- Caster Buffs
mana increase, mana regen, spell haste, spell power
-- Pushback Protection Buffs
concentration aura, totem of tranquil mind
-- General
resistance, stat multiplier, stamina, bloodlust/heroism
Classification is obvious by spec except for feral druids, where the tank classification can either be triggered by being in bear form or by having points in the natural reaction and pulverize talents.
Classification: wants to see
Tank: armor, physical DPS, generic damage, and general.
Physical DPS (no-mana): Physical DPS, generic damage, general
Hybrid Physical DPS (enhance shaman and ret paladin): Physical DPS, Generic Damage, Caster Buffs, General
Caster DPS: Generic Damage, Caster, Pushback Protection, General
Healers: Caster, Pushback Protection, General

Tomber Jan 28, 2011 at 02:13 UTC - 0 likesI am going to accept this as a separate ticket since it includes an element of automation that is not present in ticket #10. When I implement #10, I will keep this in mind and see if I can resolve both at the same time.

Tomber Jan 28, 2011 at 00:31 UTC - 0 likesPlease check ticket #10. Would the ability to combine a given set of buffs into a single bar with a customizable name accomplish what you are looking for? Perhaps I could include an option to suppress even that single bar from being displayed. A default set of categories (like in the link) could be included as well. If you agree then I'd like to combine this ticket with ticket #10.
