Second Guild

Player list

Second Guild

Second Guild provides extra functionality to a normal chat channel to make it more like a guild channel. It's meant for raids or other groups of players, who don't belong to the same guild, but are meeting in the same channel. Some of the features are an online list, a message of the day, display of the main character for twinks, see professions other player, and many more.

Status

The functions of Second Guild are nearly complete, but it's still beta and can contain bugs I didn't find. If you find anything wrong, please write a ticket on http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/secon-guild/tickets/ or leave me a comment or pm me. Additionally there can be spelling errors, vague descriptions or missing localizations. You can help me out with this under: http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/secon-guild/localization/.

How to use

On first start, you will need to configure Second Guild to your need and activate it. You will find a button on your minimap which you can right click to open the configuration window. If not, the configuration is always found in the Blizzard interface configuration window (Escape->Interface->"Addons" tab at the top).

After configuring and activating, you will automatically join the channel. Now you can open the online list with a left click on the minimap icon, or type "/sgc show" or set an key binding for it in the Blizzard key configuration. You can left click a player to see his details (professions) or right click him, to get a context menu for invite etc.

When you don't see yourself in the player list, the addon is either deactivated or the automatic channel join didn't worked. In the second case try to deactivate and reactivate the addon in the configuration window. Joining the channel manually should also work, but I don't recommend it.

Second Guild comes with LibDataBroker support, so it's possible to have an Second Guild entry in Titan Bar, FuBar (with Broker2Fubar) etc.

Latest additions

Version 1.1 will completely use the standard chat methods. This allows to display System and Chat messages in any number of chat frames. The configuration is the same as if you assign a normal channel to a chat frame (right click on chat tab, settings, global channels and mark the channel). If no chat frame has the channel assigned, Second Guild assigns it to chat frame 1. This doesn't always work, so if you don't see any messages you will need to assign it manually to a chat frame.
