SimpleMp3 Player 2009

6 - Music stopping

I am using the most recent version of Simplemp3 and, doing everything I was instructed to do, successfully installed it. However, when I play a song for some reason the music stop not twenty seconds in and the mp3 player itself says that it's still playing. The sound and music had just stopped playing and I have restarted my computer, as well as WoW, and it has not resolved the issue.

There is no error log, as it doesn't say it is an error, it just drops and I have no clue why. Could you help me please?

    This is a well known issue with any mp3 player under WOW, it is client related, and there is nothing anyone can do about it (aside from the Blizzard devs) It is because of limited sound channels, when too many sounds are playing at once, the music is the first sound that is cut off, and, I have not been able to figure out a way to tell when this happens in code. If you disable this mod, and use the default music, you will notice, if you pay close attention, that the default music also stops in this situation.

    I recently found the same issue, I have correctly installed/imported. I found that the issue is present during high character sound output, i.e. raiding it will stop once a fight gets heavy. If you hit stop and then play again it will start the song over. I don't think it's from lag, not noticebly atleast. Ran around Dal for about an hour with it running fine. Here are my WoWSound/SMp3 settings.

    SMp3settings,

    Checked: enable interface sounds, use ID3 tags to display Title Artist etc., play on startup,

    Unchecked: play in game music when SMp3 isn't playing

    Play Delay = 5

    WoW Sound & Voice settings,

    Quality = high

    Output = Speakers/Headphones (SigmaTel HD Audio Codec)

    Sound Channels = low

    Use hardware = unchecked

    Voice Chat = Disabled
