1 - Feature: Way to move it, without /simplemarker lock
It would be nice if this had a slightly more intuitive way to move it, than the slash command. I want to add it to my guild's plugin pack, but I know it would cause many of [computer illiterate] players grief.
A couple suggested variations...
- Have a small "dot" handle next to it, like PallyPower does. The dot is red when it's locked, green when it's unlocked. You click the dot to change states.
- Have a key combination, like ALT+Drag, to move it. You would probably need to make it pop up a tooltip in the lower right corner of the screen then, since you couldn't expect people to guess this. The "Pull" button of RLAssistFu is like this.
FuBar integration/docking would be great also. There used to be a good FuBar addon like this, called CharmsFu, but it has been out of development for nearly a year.

I, like many guilds, make a pack of addons for our guild members to download. Inevitably, you have some guildies that are pros, some that are noobs, and everything in between.
We used to use CharmsFu, and include it in our pack to make marking easier for the tanks/leaders. It's now out of development.
I really like this addon, and there aren't many out there that function as nicely as this. But I can't stick an addon in there that isn't very intuitive on how to move it away from it's default position right in the middle of the screen. It even took me a few minutes to figure out, so it would either end up in me fielding dozens of angry guildes' questions, or them turning it off because they don't want to bother with it.
And honestly, it wasn't apparent, even for me, how to move it. The Curse page says "Just move it wherever you want it", or something similar. I tried click+dragging, key+click+drag, right-click+drag, key+right-click+drag, and various other things to figure out how to move it. Then I went to the AddOns tab in WoW's interface settings, but there wasn't anything there for it. Then I started trying guesses at what the slash commands could be... /sm, /smartmarker
The reason I suggested those options wasn't to undermine your goals. Even if you could just click+drag it, and have it not interfere with being able to click the buttons, that would be fantastic and intuitive. Those suggestions were just pointing to other peoples' solutions to the same problem of needing a small but intuitive way to move it.
And I wasn't aware this had LDB functionality in it. I'll check into that.

But I won't do FuBar support when LDB support is such lighter-weight and does the same thing.
As for the dot, handles and all that... the whole point of this addon was to be the smalles thing that could possibly work. Nothing more. That said, I kinda like the alt-drag thing. Lemme think about that.
