Tidy Plates: Threat Plates v6.0

Comments & Tickets

  • Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

  • A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

The current TPTP (7.011) was incompatible with TP 6.15.3 so I reverted it to 6.15.2. I see TP is now on 6.16b8, so I'm curious if anyone has that version being compatible w/TPTP 7.0.11.

I really like the option to use healthbar border colors to indicate threat, but really wish the "Ignore non-combat threat" option applied to them as well. Would it be possible to include this option? Also, would it make more sense to just move those options from the nameplate settings tab into the threat settings section?

Thank you for maintaining this awesome addon!

Oh never mind I just figured it out, I just need to set the "preferred release" in Curse for this addon to Alpha and it sees it :)

Hi, love this addon. Curse only has the version from 2012. I use Curse to manage all my addons, it's so much easier and new updates are easily installed.

Can you please fix it so that Curse has your latest version?

    Thank you

Wasn't there an option to automatically change tank/DPS role threat plates based on the warrior's stance at one point? I remember using that and it worked (though it caused all plates to flicker out then back in once per stance switch). Reason I'm asking is, as a gladiator, I don't need to switch specs between DPSing and tanking, just need to switch stances. Would be nice if it was automatic again.

Hi, I have a configuration question, I seem to be unable to adjust the scale of an untapped, untargeted mob that Im just encountering. So at the moment it has a muuuch bigger nameplate than say, "just tapped" and then 1 sec later when the threat is on me, a bit larger due to me having the aggro in solo play.

This makes running through a forest of mobs almost blinding, since the plates fill half the screen :P Could you please point me to where I change tha scale of untapped, untargeted mobs that I have no affiliation with yet?

I've yet to get so some localisations and a lot of features aren't implemented yet.

I was about to laugh at Josh, then realised I'm running the exact same version. That's what I get for being complacent with the Curse Client lol. Katt, is there any particular reason TP is listed as an Alpha, not 'Release' like it was 2 years ago? Just curious, love the mod :)

    @prestojosh: Go

Use the correct version of Tidy Plates: Threat Plates shown here: http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/tidy-plates-threat-plates/files/

    You're currently using a version that's from Nov 28, 2012, almost 2 years old.

Threatplates is working on all my toons except Monk. Its not long after I login that I get the bug and the NPC healthbars stop working. Gonna disable for now but I wanted to paste the error in case it helps. Thanks!
