Threat Plates in action.

Tidy Plates: Threat Plates v6.0

Comments & Tickets

  • Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

  • A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

I've used this mod in the past and loved it but I can't seem to get it to work now that I've decided to get back into the game.

My game runs great, as do all the addons I have but Threat Plates simply won't show up. Tidy Plates and all of it's default themes work perfectly but even if I disable all addons but Tidy Plates and Threat Plates, I can't get it working. I've reinstalled all my addons and run everything on default settings but when I switch to the Threat Plates theme it simply doesn't show up: there is nothing above mobs heads.

I'm not particularly familiar with LUA but this boggles my mind; I can't figure out what's wrong nor do I even have the faintest clue what could be causing this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Not entirely sure what's going on with the Tidy Plates core in regards to compatibility mode.

There's been an update to Tidy Plates so, have a peek at the new version.

Is version 7 expected to run in compatibility mode on tidy plates? Seems it's the only way to get "minion" mobs (the one with a minus in front of the level) to display a nameplate.

Woo new Alpha! Glad to report that the customization error that I made a ticket about last week is now fixed.

I've been using the same beta build without issues thus far. There will be a new alpha this week that I would like to have tested for issues.

Is 7.000 alpha good to go for next week? TP has a release candidate basically ready to go, latest beta is pretty polished and I'm not experiencing any bugs there. Essentially any issues with the 7.000 candidate or should I be all set with that and newest TP beta together?

I've been restructuring a lot of my old and very inefficient code. Widgets are being more simplified and a lot of my redundant code is being cleaned up.

Tidy Plates core will be dealing with the major changes to the API and various efficiency changes necessary when Blizzard decides to change things.

Things like stances, totem spell ids, and talent tracking are things I've got to consider.

Version 7 here mainly fixes the major bugs regarding tapped units, aura widget changes, and some API changes.

Oh my, thanks to suicidalkatt for making an appearance! I see an alpha ver 7 posted (hadn't checked in here in a while), what we need to know is does that version include some of the hand edits that have been detailed in this comment section?

And can we assume you never went further than that alpha because 5.4 is about to hit (9/10)? Tidy Plates continues to march on, so obviously one concern is your theme working with new versions of that add-on.

I also had the problem of Threat Plates suddenly not working for the past two days, but as of this morning, it seems to be working fine again.
