Wholly

69 - exclamation.tga damaged (039)

The "exclamation.tga" implemented with Wholly version 039 seems to be corrupted or something.
It's unreadable by IrfanView or GIMP for me, and on the map it displays as small green squares as the game client isn't able to read it either.

I was confused by it as well. And it is even more baffling that it works now as well without needing to change anything. The TGA format I used was even not compressed just to make sure it was as generic as possible since I do not have a Windows test box any more, and this was my first venture into using my own texture instead of relying on the Blizzard one and suffering a loss of color accuracy.

Anyway, I am glad it is working now for you and hopefully it will stay that way.

I've tried all five files off your message as well as the one from the 039 archive I had downloaded already - and for some reason they ALL work fine now, all five (six) files are readable by IrfanView and also the original file is loaded by the game no issue (no green squares anymore).

I have absolutely no clue what's up with that, as I had previously re-downloaded the 039 archive already and the question.tga was always readable but the exclamation.tga still wasn't.
Haven't even rebooted or anything like that in the meantime.
It's the same archive and I'm not new to extracting archives, thus don't see how I could have done something essentially wrong before (or why one file would work while the other one fails).

Thanks for your efforts and I'm sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
You might want to flag this ticket as invalid or something.

Edit: Seeing there's now another ticket about green squares, I'm lost at what to make of this.

Can you try downloading the following versions of exclamation.tga to test each one on your system to see whether any of them work for you? Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 Test 3

And just for reference purposes, the original in the addon is: Test 0

are you running on Windows by any chance? I am guessing this would be a possible cause of a problem since this was created on a Mac.
