Cataclysm Beta Keys for Addon Authors

As we all know Cataclysm has entered beta. For expansions past we've been able to offer our authors beta access. I'm glad to say that thanks to Blizzard we're able to do the same again this year.

To be considered eligible for this you must have a valid active addon on either http://WoW.CurseForge.com or http://www.WowAce.com. We will be activating a new item on the rewards store (it won't cost any points!) soon that you'll need to go in and order to request a key.

We will then be fulfilling orders as quickly as we can receive keys.

Just so everyone is aware, addons are currently disabled in the latest builds of the beta and will likely remain that way for some time as the default ui gets the kinks worked out. While this will limit the toying with the API it will still let everyone test out the default one, and have fun exploring the new content.

    Are there even any keys left? I do hope so, and if not, I'd highly suggest to ask Blizzard for some more. Because I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting still.

    Same problem here.

    Eu Account, battle.net not taking the beta code I was sent.

    "The following problems have occurred: The key you entered is not a game license, try code redemption."

    What the point of access to Beta as addon author while addons disabled? Will it be still available when addons will be enabled?

    I got the key from WoWAce but when I try to add the game I get "An error has occurred." message. I have EU account. Anyone else has this problem?

    I got the key sent from WoWAce, an 25-digit numbers. Weird, once added to Battle net, nothing happen. The Cataclysm was not listed in my game list.

    Edit: No worry, now I see the game listed there.

    Just a question. When you go to order it, why does it not have anything to where you could press to 'proceed to checkout'

    If you are an addon author for WoW, you can ask for one (1) beta key. This requires no curse points nor that you be part of the rewards system, just that you have an addon with us. Please put your battle net id as your email.

    Keys will be distributed as they become available.

    Don't forget to checkout! After you do so you'll see it under your "My Orders" tab
