An addon that removes the player from a specified channel while in the specified zone. The 'Anti-Barrens Chat' addon.

Certain zones have gathered a bad reputation for having lousy general chat channels. This is the solution. When ever you enter a zone that is on your black list this addon will remove you from any chat channels you wish, and when you exit that zone they will automatically be rejoined.

This addon was originally inspired by (what I perceived to be) the extremely annoying Barrens chat (horde side), and as such the need to remove the General Chat Channel while in The Barrens. So I thought it was fitting to give a quick walk through to set up an Anti-Barrens Chat profile.

1. type /cz to bring up the ChatZone Menu and then select profile.
2. And in the Create New Profile box type in the name of your Anti-Barrens profile and press Enter.(This profile step is optional, but helpful).
3. Then move over to Options -> New Zone/Chat and under Zone Name select The Barrens, and under Chanel Name select General. Press Add Zone Channel Pair.

You will now leave General Chat whenever you are in barrens, even when just flying over, and rejoin once you leave.
