This project is experimental.

This project is only experimental and may change drastically between now and when it comes out of experimental status. It may even be disapproved once that happens, worst-case.

Be forewarned before downloading anything from this project.

This addon is designed to block messages sent by the addon Lightwell Buddy.

Note: this addon will NOT work unless the priest sending the messages is using Lightwell Buddy version 1.15 +.

Why would one of the authors of Lightwell Buddy design an addon to block messages sent by Lightwell Buddy? Because this addon allows those who enjoy Lightwell Buddy to continue to do so while providing an "opt out" for those who find it distracting or annoying.

While the addon was designed with Lightwell Buddy in mind, theoretically any addon can registrar their messages with this addon to have their messages hidden. I may work on improving the API and customization in the future, but at this point I'm just focusing on getting it to work and optimizing the code.

    @Choonster: Go

    Completely possible, I was just learning and experimenting with how to filter chat. I'll get back to fixing this addon later, too much going on right now but I appreciate your feedback :-)

    I was just looking through the code and noticed that every time you receive a comm message you remove the filter function from every chat event and then add it again. Shouldn't the filter function automatically work with the updated contents of the filterMessages table without needing to remove/add it each time?

    I haven't actually tested this theory, so I could be completely wrong here.
