This mod is going to be abandoned

Please check out the mod Tacktic , as the author is maintaining it for 5.0.5+ . It looks like he has done a great job with it:

This addon is designed to make focusing a target easier in battlegrounds by putting markers above the enemy nameplates.

Update for 5.0.5 MOP

Eliminated chat channel spam. Updated back-end functions for 5.x API, Everything else works the same as before. Still calling this beta because I've tested as much as I could given two accounts, but will feel more comfortable after more people confirm it's working as intended.

Background Info

Blizzard does not allow raid-marking in PvP for good reason - they're visible all the way across the map. The indicator in this mod just attaches to nameplates much like "Healers Have to Die" does.

1) Download and extract the addon.

2) make 2 macros.

  • Macro 1: /gtd gtdtarggg
  • Macro 2: /gtd gtdtarggg2

The first macro will, when you have an enemy selected, put the rainbox drop over your targets head. Anyone *IN YOUR RAID* (not in your BG) will see that mark if they have the addon and are close enough to see the enemy nameplate.

The second macro does the same thing with the fainter green indicator.

If you want to use this just for yourself or for testing, you can use the macros: /gtd gtdself /gtd gtdself2

This is pretty bare bones, but worked fine in both a rated and non-rated BG.

5.0.5 - not sure if this part is still true - didn't seem to be true when testing, but leaving it here just in case: The critical aspect is that you have to be in a raid to use it. Even if you have just a party of 5, convert to raid if you wish to use this addon.
