535 - Flying mount while swimming

Is it possible to add a feature to always use a flying mount (when available) while swimming?

    This new function might be related to the new "walking on water" mount ability coming with 5.0. See one of the new mounts - http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/gogomount/tickets/543-new-mount-water-strider-larva/

    Tests seem to show the same results as IsSwimming() which means it currently isn't useful.  On the water surface still returns true.

    Most likely yes.. if it does what I think it'll do.  :)

    Does the new (4.3) IsSubmerged() api call help with this?

    Similar issue... and believe me, I wish I could fix it for myself as well.  The "Sea Legs" buff is what gives you the underwater breathing and increased speed at the bottom of the ocean.  If I can find some way to tell when you're standing and when you're not I'll put in a fix for it.  If you know of a way, let me know.  :)

    Ok, thanks that mostly solved my problems (I didn't know about the water-breathing). You might also want to look into the Vashj''ir underwater mount, it would be nice if it would be summoned whenever possible, as currently a normal flying mount is summoned when your standing on the sea-floor. However I don't know if this could be again a restriction from the way the blizzard client works.

    Some flying mounts that Blizzard has declared as ground mounts will work while under water. Other mounts that are not considered ground mounts will not work underwater because Blizzard won't allow it so I can't do much about those. The underwater flying mounts will be randomly called with ground mounts but I can look into adding an option to support flying mounts only (but again only if you have a flying mount that works under water.)

    If you are on the surface of the water and have the option to fly from water surface enabled GoGoMount will in most cases give you a flying mount correctly. This option however is a little buggy because Blizzard does not provide a method to detect if you're on the surface of the water or under water. I'm looking for the breath bar to determine if you're on or under water but that doesn't work if you have the ability or items equipped to breath under water.

    No, actually I mean using a flying mount over a ground mount, so that you can fly directly out of the water in zones where flying is allowed

    You mean to use a flying mount over (possibly) faster water mounts like the turtle or seahorse?
