Grid is the original compact unit frame addon.
The compact grid of units lets you select a group member quickly, while keeping a good overview of the whole group. Grid is designed to show you only what you need to know, and not overload you with irrelevant information. It is highly configurable, letting you choose exactly what is shown, and how it's shown. There are also many plugins that add even more features!
For options, type /grid, right-click the tab on the Grid layout frame, or right-click the Grid icon on your minimap or DataBroker display.

matteus86 Oct 26, 2016 at 13:51 UTC - 0 likesAfter the 7.1 update whenever I cast a spell that has a target reticule, i.e healing rain, instead of getting the reticule, the spell just cast's around me. Has something in the settings changed that I might need to sort out?
UPDATE - the issue wasn't with Grid, it was with Clique Binding, just incase anyone else stumbles across this with the same problem, right click on the spell in Clique binding tab, go to Enable/Disable Binding Sets - then remove default and select Global Bindings (No Target) should solve the problem.
Hope this helps if anyone else had the same problem.

Phanx Oct 06, 2016 at 19:24 UTC - 0 likesThere should already be a tooltip when you hover the mouse cursor over each option.

Thank you for the clarification. I don't know what's possible, but might I suggest a tooltip or caption next to/beneath (or even better, incorporated into the string that labels the threshhold field?) would be very useful and might save other users frustration or confusion.

High: > high Medium: > low and <= high Low: <= low
However, I agree that high should probably be >= instead of >, so I'll probably change that in the next release.

saido Sep 28, 2016 at 21:40 UTC - 0 likesCould I get a clarification about "threshold" ? I am using the feature that changes the text color based on number of stacks (for the Darkening and Blacking Soul debuffs on Xavius). If I want the text to turn red at three stacks, do I set the threshold at 2 or 3? ( I had originally assumed that I should set it to 3 ( "red if stack = 3") but after using it I'm suspecting that the logic really is "red if stack is > 2" (and thus I should set the threshold to 2 if I want the text to turn red at 3 stacks). ~ Can you clarify?)
P.S. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere: I checked the FAQ and some other posts but didn't see anything that pointed clearly to an answer for me.

There's already a ticket about that:

MrSchmuders Sep 24, 2016 at 17:33 UTC - 0 likesI'm having a slight issue, outside in the open world, I'm not able to show the whole raid, it only shows my current group.

Not possible. Random players out in the world do not have unit IDs, other than temporarily while you are targeting or mousing over them.

stefanw1337 Aug 29, 2016 at 18:36 UTC - 0 likesSo I want to have a Grid for random players out in the world. Could you make this change, or even make it as an option?
