english options, chat, loothog window

LootHog detects and tracks rolls which are made with '/random' or '/roll' and sorts them, allowing raid leaders to announce roll winners quickly and easily.

  • Automatically show window when someone rolls (optional)
  • Announce configured settings and rules to party/raid
  • Configurable timer: Starts when the first roll is detected (or Loothog Started manually).
  • Announce that new roll has started, and announce the time players have to roll.
  • Announce Offspec roll if no winners for the inital roll. Separately configured timeout and Announcement.
  • Prevent /random rolls from appearing in the chatlog
  • Acknowledge rolls via /whisper to roller
  • Count rolls from group members only or entire raid
  • Reject rolls with bounds other than those configured
  • Reject multiple rolls
  • Ability to "Hold" timer. After releasing the timer, timer will restart from where it left off.
    - OR if AutoExtend is turned on, it will restart from configured time if timer is lower.
  • Countdown - Manually activated or can start in the last few seconds of timer (configurable)
  • AutoExtend if roll is detected in the last few seconds of timer (configurable)
  • Finalize rolling and announce winner after configurable timer expires
  • Finalize rolling when all group members have rolled
  • Announce the group of the winner (Raid)
  • Assign Loot to winner
  • Submit complete list of rolls to chat when announcing
  • Deactivate LootHog if someone else announces (using Loothog)
  • Close LootHog window after announcing a winner
  • MyAddon - Support
  • Support for "Offspec" roll boundaries
  • One click "Off" button

When you are in a raid and the Master Looter the "Announce" button will change to "Assign" at the conclusion of a Roll if you have started the roll by specifying an item (Clicking start with an open lootwindow, /lh start <itemlink> /lh <itemlink>). Clicking the Assign button (or using the slash command /lh assign) will assign to one of 3 different players.

  • If a player has rolled (for either mainspec or offspec if configured) there will be a winner and the loot will be assigned to that player.
  • If there has been no rolls and a disenchanter is configured (Configure the DEer in the "Rules" options) and that player is in the raid, the loot will be assigned to them.
  • If there is no Disenchanter configured or they are not in raid, the loot will be given to yourself.

    Somebody should pick this up and continue it. I found it to be very useful and it still basically works.

    @lrdfrd: Go

    I would agree with you mate, this addon is one of the best I have ever used for loot, I'd like to use it going forward but I don't have the coding background or expertise needed to make it available for Mists of Pandaria. I wish someone would revive it.

    damn i wish i knew how to code.. i would keep this mod alive, best loot mod ever, and yes ive tryed them all. if only people put as much effort and talent into epgp mods, they all suck, only reason my guild doesnt use them, this is better :)

    im assuming im missing a lib but im not a coder, either way id figure id post the glitch that is preventing loothog to load

    bug in 4.0.1

    1x LootHog-3.3.3\LootHog.lua:16 attempt to index global 'this' (a nil value)
    <string>:"*:OnLoad":1: in function <[string "*:OnLoad"]:1>

    self = loothog_core {
     0 = <userdata>

    1x <string>:"loothog_main:OnLoad":1: attempt to index global 'this' (a nil value)

    on a side note, this is the best loot mod ive found, ive tryed alot of them (asside from epgp lootmods but my guild doesnt use epgp)  its a must have.

    I just found this addon a few weeks ago. It is definitely the best that I have found.

    Unfortunately, since patch 4.0 was released I cannot even get it to load ( /lh is not a recognized command).

    Please update this as soon as possible. Thanks so much!!

    Please update for 4.0

    Is this addon still in development? I don't know of any specific problems, but I know this addon won't load unless you select "Load out of date addons." Are you still active on this project? Have you received sufficient donations / praise to make this worthwhile for you?

    Thanks for all your hard work!

    Cyberon - Grab one of the later versions (3.3.3a or 3.3.3b) Definitely 3.3.3b if you use the german client.
