Tidy Plates: Threat Plates v6.0

Comments & Tickets

  • Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

  • A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

    @iceeagle: Go

    Thanks iceeagle. Was hoping someone would do this. TPTP was the best nameplate addon going around.

    Hey guys!

    Our russian friend "4exoB" updated Threat Plates to work for 7.0

    All you have to do is download and extract the file and once you're ingame you disable Class Icons ( /tptp -> Widgets -> Class Icons). Else you'd see a green square next to your nameplates. I think it's an issue with the Demon Hunter class icon that isn't updated yet and the game sees all mobs as Demon Hunters.

    I haven't tested the plates with dual/tri spec and different roles, only on Warlock so far.

    It seems the removal of some totems is causing the problems with the options not opening. I tell you how to fix this.

    1. Edit <WoW Install Folder>\Interface\AddOns\TidyPlates_ThreatPlates\Options.lua 2. Find the totemID array (search for totemID, mine was on line 4149). 3. Change the following:

    local totemID = {
    	[1] = {8177,"A1","b8d1ff"},
    	[2] = {152256,"A2","b8d1ff"},
    	[3] = {108273,"A3","b8d1ff"},
    	[4] = {98008,"A4","b8d1ff"},
    	[5] = {108269,"A5","b8d1ff"},
    	[6] = {2062,"E1","ffb31f"},
    	[7] = {2484,"E2","ffb31f"},
    	[8] = {51485,"E3","ffb31f"},
    	[9] = {108270,"E4","ffb31f"},
    	[10] = {8143,"E5","ffb31f"},
    	[11] = {2894,"F1","ff8f8f"},
    	[12] = {8190,"F2","ff8f8f"},
    	[13] = {3599,"F3","ff8f8f"},
    	[14] = {5394,"W1","2b76ff"},
    	[15] = {157153,"W2","2b76ff"},
    	[16] = {108280,"W3","2b76ff"}

    local totemID = {
    	[1] = {108273,"A3","b8d1ff"},
    	[2] = {98008,"A4","b8d1ff"},
    	[3] = {2484,"E2","ffb31f"},
    	[4] = {51485,"E3","ffb31f"},
    	[5] = {108270,"E4","ffb31f"},
    	[6] = {8190,"F2","ff8f8f"},
    	[7] = {5394,"W1","2b76ff"},
    	[8] = {157153,"W2","2b76ff"},
    	[9] = {108280,"W3","2b76ff"}

    That will at least make the menu items open. Blizz made many changes too name plates so there will probably be other issues. Hopefully these will be addressed through tidy plates and allow threat plates to keep functioning.

    I suspect there will be issues also with the "Duel Spec Roles" as now we can be all specs which can be anything from 2 for DH's and 4 for druids.

    Can't agree with Ckopocmb42 enough! Someone please update this addon. No other nameplates mod touches it, even for non-tanks it works so well on every level.

    Suicidalkatt, I salute you... then fall to my knees, and beg, sobbing...

    Please update for Legion. I can't find any other addon with as much for customization options. Currently can't access the config.

    Are there any plans to update this addon to work with Legion? I live by Threat Plates and no other addon I have found comes even close to being as good. Tidy Plates by itself doesn't do what Threat plates does for me with tanking. Please update this to work with Legion!

    it's seems impossible to have friendly nameplate names to be turned on without hp bars in tptp. it's possible in pure tidyplates and impossible in tptp. every raider want to see other names and nobody want to see friendly raiders bars. so really i don't understand how this bug exists for years... if it's not enough clear what i mean - this is intended way everybody want to see friendly text without bars - http://puu.sh/mNTFh/b0b9bb5c29.jpg and this is the ugly way tptp offer - to see text only with hp bars - http://puu.sh/mNTIT/1d82f6ad17.jpg
